Hard Candy Glamoflauge

Ich habe die Hard Candy Glamoflauge in einem Swap ertauscht (neu). Ich wollte sie schon sehr lange mal testen.

Hard Candy Story:

Hard Candy ist eine Kosmetik-Marke, die mir irgendwie ans Herz gewachsen ist. Bevor ich ein überdurchschnittlich ausgeprägtes Interesse für Kosmetik entwickelt habe, kam ich bereits in Kontakt mit dieser Marke. Zwischen 12-16 Jahren (keine Ahnung, wann das genau war) habe ich bei einem Gewinnspiel in einer Girly-Zeitschrift mitgemacht und gewonnen. Damals habe ich ein Set von Hard Cany (einen Nagellack und eine Lipgloss-Palette gewonnen). Damals war Hard Candy auch mal für eine kurze Zeit in Deutschland im Douglas erhältlich. Mittlerweile gibt es Hard Candy jedoch schon lange nicht mehr bei uns zukaufen. Die Produkte waren etwas girly-angehaucht. Bei jedem Nagellack war ein Plastikring in der passenden Farbe dabei etc. Aber die Qualität war toll und die Produkte waren auch in den USA, wo die Marke herkommt, eher im Highend-Bereich angesiedelt. Vor allem die Lidschatten-Quads, waren wirklich toll, preislich lagen sie bei $35 bei Sephora. Dank meiner (Bald-) Schwägerin die aus den USA kommt, habe ich meine Sammlung an Hard Candy Produkten über die Zeit etwas vergrößert. Zugeschlagen habe ich vor allem als Hard Candy 2009 einen kompletten Ausverkauf gemacht hat und die Produkte um 50% und mehr reduziert wurden. Kurze Zeit später wurde Hard Candy dann nicht mehr im Sephora als Highend-Marke verkauft, sondern in Wal-Mart im Drogerie-Bereich, wo die meisten Produkte unter $10 kosten. Die Produkte wurden hierfür komplett überarbeitet bzw. neu entwickelt. Es gibt kaum noch Produkte die den damaligen entsprechen. Dafür aber viele neue zum Teil sehr interessante. Gebackene Blushes und Bronzer, die an MAC MSFs erinnern, Blush Boxen, die an Blush von Benefit erinnern etc.

So gibt es auch den Glamoflauge Concealer von Hard Candy, der dem Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer ebenbürtig sein soll. Der größte Unterschied ist der Preis. Der von Hard Candy beinhaltet 20g plus einen kleinen Abdeckstift und kostet $6 und der von Kat Von D enthält nur 15ml und kostet $25. Der Concealer ist so deckend, dass er wie der Name schon sagt auch Tattoos abdecken kann. Tattoos habe ich keine, aber neugierig war ich trotzdem.

Ich habe den Concealer von Hard Candy in der Farbe Light, es gibt auch noch medium und dark. Das wichtigste ist, dass man bei diesem Concealer nur ein ganz kleines bisschen Produkt benötigt, sonst setzt er sich in kleinen Augenfältchen hab. Wenn man das beachtet, ist der Concealer sehr gut. Auf dem Bild könnt ihr vielleicht erkennen, wie ergiebig das Produkt ist. Etwas enttäuscht war ich von dem Abdeckstift, der auch in light, leider viel zu dunkel ist, im Vergleich zum Concealer. Aber das war ja auch zum Glück nicht mein Kaufgrund. Ich habe den Concealer noch nicht zum abdecken von Hautunreinheiten getestet, dafür ist mir light vielleicht auch ein tick zu hell, aber ich bin mir sicher, dass das auch super funktionieren würde. Etwas schade ist die begrenzte Farbauswahl, aber für den Preis und die Drogerie ist das ok. Ich müsste vermutlich light und medium mischen um meinen Hautton hinzukriegen und Unreinheiten abdecken zu können. Aber für Augenringe abzudecken ist die etwas hellere Farbe ideal. Bei 20g pro Tube und der Ergiebigkeit des Produktes werde ich damit ewig auskommen.

Hard Candy Story:

I knew Hard Candy products even before I really got into make-up. Between 12-16 (don't really remember anymore) years I took part in a contest from some girly magazine and I won a set of Hard Candy products (a nail polish and one of their lip palettes). Back then Hard Candy was also sold in Douglas in Germany. But they left the German market again. They used to be sold in the high-end section of Sephora. An eyeshadow palette was about $35. I really liked their cute little eyeshadow palettes. Because my soon to be sister in law comes from the US she was able to get me some more of their products especially in 2009 when they totally sold all their produtcs out for 50% less. Hard Candy left the high-end market and was no longer sold in Sephora. Today they are sold at Wal-Mart and most of their products are less than $10. They redid all of their products / packaging. They now offer a lot of baked products and blushes in a box (reminding of Benefit)...

..and they have this concealer which is supposed to be like the Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer. The main difference is the price. The Hard Candy concealer is only $6 and you get a tube of 20ml as well as a small concealer pencil. The Kat Von D is only 15ml and has a price tag of $25. Like the name already implies they are supposed to hide tattoos. I don't have any tattoos but I was still curious. :)

The concealer comes in three different shades (light, medium and dark). The color selection is not huge but for the drugstore it is fine. I got the shade light. It is perfect to cover undereye circles but it is a tiny bit to light to cover blemishes (which I luckily don't get very often anyway).

But to cover theses I would probably have to mix light and medium to get the right color. Like I said the color light is perfect for undereye concealing. All you have to consider is that you only take the tiniest amount otherwise the product might end up in the small wrinkles around your eyes. A little goes a long long way with this product. The 20ml will probably last me a lifetime ;)

The concealer pencil that comes a long is unfortunately a little bit to dark and the wrong color. But that was not my reason to get the product so that's not a big deal to me. It is a nice idea anyway to add a little pencil concealer as well.
