My First MAC Experience!

Ich fand die Tag-Idee von Magalie von LesBellesAffaires toll und mache einfach mal mit!

I really liked the Tag from Magalie from LesBellesAffaires so here it is...

1. Wie kamst du überhaupt auf Mac?

Schuld ist ganz klar meine Schwägerin in Spe. ;) Sie ist Amerikanerin und ist 2004 bei uns eingezogen. Bis dahin hatte ich glaube ich noch nix von MAC gehört. Sie hatte ein paar Lidschatten, die ich ziemlich schön fand und sie hat mir einen geschenkt, den sie aussortiert hatte, weil er ihr nicht stand. Ich weiß jedoch nicht mehr genau wie er hieß.

2. Wann hast du das erste Mac Produkt gekauft und welches war es?

Meine ersten MAC Produkte habe ich nicht selbst gekauft. Das erste war wie bereits erwähnt ein Lidschatten, den ich Geschenk bekommen habe. Als meine Schwägerin in Spe mit meinem Bruder zusammen in den USA war, musste ich die Gelegenheit nutzen. MAC Produkte sind in den USA ein gutes Stück günstiger als in Deutschland. Ich habe mir einen Nagellack (ein helles Rosa?) und einen Lippenstift (Politely Pink)mitbringen lassen. Beides sehr dezente Farben, bei denen ich wusste, dass ich nicht viel falsch machen würde. Den einzigen MAC Counter, den ich bis dahin kannte, war der in Frankfurt auf der Zeil im Douglas.

3. Magst du das Produkt auch heute noch oder war es ein völliger Fehlkauf?

Die Produkte benutze ich heute beide nicht mehr. Obwohl ich sie damals beide ganz toll fand, muss ich rückblickend zugeben, dass sie nicht so der Hit waren. Die Qualität von MAC Nagellack finde ich ohnehin nicht toll und Lippenstift mit Schimmer zählen auch nicht zu meinen Favoriten ;)

4. Welche Produkte hast du schon mehrfach nachgekauft? Hast du einen All-Time-Favourite?

Ich habe ganz offensichtlich zu viel Kosmetik, denn ich habe noch kein MAC Produkt aufgebraucht oder nachgekauft. Aber es gibt einige Kandidaten, die ich nachkaufen würde. Mac Mineralized Skinfinish Natural, diverse Blushes, Lidschatten in VEX, Patina und Club, den Viva Glam V Lippenstift und Lipgloss. Ok ich hör dann mal auf ;)

5. Gab es ein Produkt, was du total schlecht fandest?

MAC Nagellack

6. Was war in deinen Augen die tollste Limited Edition? Und welche Repromotes wünschst du dir?

Ich war bisher noch nie so der LE Fanatiker, was MAC angeht. Ich finde, dass MAC Produkte so teuer sind, dass man sich gut überlegen muss, was man wirklich braucht und dann auch verwendet. Den Hype, der mit einer LE einhergeht, verleitet einen eher dazu unüberlegt Produkte zu kaufen, nur weil sie später nicht mehr erhältlich sind. Ich habe insgesamt max. 4-5 LE Produkte und alle sind aus einer anderen LE, also kann ich nicht sagen, dass ich eine Lieblings LE hatte. Da ich noch kein Produkt aufgebraucht habe, brauche ich auch noch kein Repromote ;)

Was ist eure MAC Story?

1. When and how did you first came across MAC?

It is basically all my future sister-in-laws fault! ;) She comes from the USA and moved here in 2004. She owned a few MAC eyeshadows and that's how I got "into" MAC. Back than the only MAC counter I knew was in Frankfurt in one of the biggest (if not the biggest Douglas stores). My future sister-in-law gave me one of her eyeshadow she didn't use/like so that was my first MAC product (I don't remember the name of it though).

2. When did you buy your first MAC product and which one did you get?

The first product was a present. The next two products I got were brought to my from the USA (thanks again to my f. sister-in-law) ;) It was a light pink nail polish and a lipstick in Politely Pink. I thought I couldn't really do too much wrong with this color choice.

3. Do you still use / like this product?

Although I loved the products back than, I actually don't use them anymore. I really don't like the quality of MAC nail polishes and I am not the biggest fan of shimmer in lipsticks. :/

4. Which product did you repurchase? Which is your all-time favorite product?

I seem to have way too many make-up products because I never finished any of my MAC products. Although if I ever would finish them there are some I would repurchase. Like Vex, Patina, Club, Viva Glam V lipstick and lipgloss, several blushes (I love there blushes) and MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural.

5. Which product didn't you like at all?

There nail polish

6. Which one was your most liked Limited Edition and Which product would you love to see being repromoted?

I have never been one of those girls that gets crazy about MAC limited editions. Mainly because MAC is so expensive here in Germany. I believe that you have to really think about what you want to buy and not just buy because it is a hyped LE-product I have to get because it will soon be gone. This way I would probably end up with a lot of overprized MAC products I won't use. I do like drugstore LE's but they are saver because you don't end-up spending so much money on one product... I do have about 5 MAC LE products and I all like them but they are all from different LEs so I don't have a favorite LE. Since I never finished a product I don't need a repromote of any of them ;)
