Ein kleines Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Update:

Ich kann mich gar nicht entscheiden, welchen Blush ich am Liebsten mag. Ich finde alle toll und kann jedem nur empfehlen diese Blushes mal zu testen :)

A little update to my Tarte Amazonian Blush Collection.

I can't decide which blush shade I enjoy the most. I love all of them. I can only recommend everybody to try one of them.

Tarte Achiote Collection

Das Tarte Achiote Set war dieses Frühjahr / Sommer ein limitiertes Set von Tarte. Im Set waren drei Produkte in Originalgröße erhalten: Einen Amazonian Clay Blush ($25), einen Lipsurgence ($24) und ein Maracuja devine shine lip gloss ($21). Da man für das Set nur $42 statt dem Gesamtpreis der Einzelprodukte von $70 zahlt, macht man hier ein ganz gutes Geschäft. Achiote bzw. auf deutsch auch Annattostrauch, Orleansstrauch oder Rukustrauch genannt ist ein Strauch ist ein Strauch der in Südamerika wächst. Die Samen seiner Früchte kommen zum Färben von Textilien, als Tinte, aber auch zur Körperbemalung von Einheimischen zum Einsatz. Der Spitzname des Strauches lautet auch Lippenstift-Baum. Tarte hat den Farbstoff der Samen dieses Strauches in den Produkten der Achiote Kollektion verwendet. 

For $42 you receive a three fullsized Tarte products: Amazonian Clay Blush, Lipsurgence and a Maracuja devine shine lip gloss. The total price of all the products bought individually would habe been $70 thus the set is a pretty good deal. Achiote is known as mother nature’s lipstick tree.  It’s a tree found in South America which produces a vibrant pink fruit.  The pure pigment obtained from the seeds of that fruit is what Tarte infused into these products.

Da ich ohnehin ein ganz großer Fan der Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes bin und ich die Blush Farbe, die es nicht einzeln zu kaufen gab, so toll fand, musste gleich das ganze Set bei mir einziehen. Ich habe es nicht bereut, denn auch die Lippenprodukte sind sehr schön und angenehm zu tragen. Der Lipsurgence natural lip luster erinnert etwas an die Clinique Cubby Sticks, jedoch mit leichter Minznote. Der Gloss funktioniert mit einem Klickmechanismus. Er hat ebenfalls eine leichte Minznote. Maracuj-Öl soll die Lippen pflegen.

Since I am a huge fan of the Amazonian Clay Blushes and the color Achiote, which was only available in this set, looked so pretty, I had to have the set. I don't regret the purchase. This was I got to try two other products from Tarte. Their lipsurgence lip luster reminds me a little of the Clinique Cubby Sticks with a slight mint flavour. The lipgloss which works with a click mechanism also has a mint flavour and maracuja oil is suppost to nourish your lips. I like the texture and the look of the lip products.

Bourjois Blushes

Bourjois ist eine französische Kosmetikmarke, die es bereits seit 1863 gibt. Bekannt ist die Marke ursprünglich für ihre gebackenen Produkte.  In den letzten Jahren sind (meiner Meinung nach zurecht) vor allem die Foundations Bourjois Healty Mix sowie das Serum sehr bekannt und beliebt geworden.  Einige werden es sicherlich wissen,- andere aber vielleicht noch nicht. Bourjouis ist im mehrheitlichen Besitz von der Kosmetiklinie von Chanel. Die Produkte sollen darüber hinaus im selben Werk produziert werden. Es gibt daher sehr viele Mutmaßungen, dass die Produkte einander entsprechen, oder zumindest sehr große Ähnlichkeiten aufweisen.

Mittlerweile habe sich aber auch schon 3 gebackene Bourjois Blushes in meiner Sammlung zusammengefunden. 

Bourjois is a french cosmetic brand which was founded in 1863. The brand was originally known for their baked products. By now their Foundations are widely known and popular (Foundations Bourjois Healty Mix sowie das Serum). Some may already know that Bourjois owns the majority of the cosmetic line of Chanel. Their products are suppost to be produced in the same site. Thus there are many comparisons between their products.

By now I have three of their baked blushes. 

Rose D'or (34), Cendre de rose Brune (48) und Rose Frisson (54).

Immer dabei ist ein kleiner halbrunder Pinsel, der zur Not seinen Zweck erfüllt, jedoch nicht wirklich meine erste Wahl zum Auftragen des Blushes ist.

Every blush comes with a round blush which serves its purpose but wouldn't be my first choice for applying the blush.

Rose D'or ist ein pinker Blush mit goldenem Schimmer. Er erinnert etwas an Nars Orgasm. Der Schimmer ist auf den Wangen nicht so offensichtlich, gibt aber einen schönen Glow. 

Cendre de rose Brune ist ein matter Blush in einem eher kühlen Pink. Dieser Blush hat eine sehr hohe Pigmentierung und man muss aufpassen nicht zuviel zu erwischen.

Rose Frisson hat eher ein Satinfinish. Die Ausgangsfarbe ist ähnlich der von Rose D'or. Ein fast peachiges Pin. Obwohl Rose Frisson eine kaum außergewöhnliche Farbe ist und zudem im Vergleich zu den anderen beiden Bourjois Blushes relativ sheer ist,- verleiht der Blush mir die meiste Frische. Ich möchte ihn nicht mehr missen.

Rose Frisson habe ich nun schon am längsten. Nach einer Zeit ist die Abgabe vom Produkt auf den Pinsel sehr gering. Die Öle der Haut,- (ja, sehr lecker, ist aber nun mal so) versiegeln irgendwann die Oberfläche des Produktes. Wenn man jedoch mit einem Messer oder ähnlichem (VORSICHT, bitte nicht verletzen) darüber schabt, ist der Blush wieder wie neu.

Rose D'or is a pink blush with gold shimmer. It kind of reminds me of Nars Orgasm. The shimmer is not as obvious once it is applied to the cheeks but it does give you a nice glow.

Cendre de rose brune has a matt finish. It is a rather cool toned pink with a great pigmentation. You have to be careful not to apply too much product. 

Rose Frisson has more of a satin finish. It has a similar color to Rose D'Or a kind of peachy pink. It is not the most extraordinary color but it does give me the most amazing result. It makes me look very fresh and awake. Allthough I like all my Bourjois blushes I defintely wouldn't want to be without this particular one.

This is also the blush out of the three I have had to longest. The only downsite to these blushes is that after using them for a while the oils of your face (yeah I know yucky- but that's how it is) seal the top of the product. So you once in a while have to scrape the top and it's like new again.

Meine ersten Illamasqua Produkte

Gehört habe ich schon viel von der Marke. Jetzt durften die ersten Produkte bei mir einziehen. Angetan hat es mir die aktuelle Kollektion. Gekauft wurden (mit einem 20% Asos-Gutscheincode) das Blush in Naked Rose und das Lidschattenquad in Neutral.

I have heard a lot about the brand Illamasqua and now I finally got my first products from this brand. I had a 20% coupon from Asos so I luckily didn't have to pay the full price. I got the Blush in Naked Rose and the eyeshadow quad in neutral.

Die Produkte fühlen sich von der Textur sehr seidig an. Das Blush in Naked Rose ist matt. Auf dem Swatch wirkt es ziemlich "chalky" bzw. kreidig. Auf den Wangen kann ich das jedoch nicht behaupten. Hier wirkt das Blush sehr schön. Eine dezente, everyday Blush-Farbe. 

The texture of the products is really nice and silky. The Blush is mat. Swatched on the back of my hand the blush looks rather chalky. But once applied to the cheeks it does not have that chalky look to it at all. It is a super pretty "goes with anything" color to me.

Angetan hat es mir auch das Quad in vorwiegend matten Naturtönen. Neben einem Cremeton, ist ein schöner matter Braunton, ein Tiefschwarz und ein schimmernder Antique-Goldton enthalten. Die Lidschatten haben eine tolle Textur und lassen sich spielend leicht verarbeiten. Im Moment könnte ich das Quad täglich verwenden. Der helle Ton ist toll für das gesamte Lid sowie zum ausblenden. Der Braunton ist toll für die Lidfalte. Das Gold kann ebenfalls in die Lidfalte oder als Akzent auf das bewegliche Lid. Das satte Schwarz kann toll als softer Eyeliner benutzt werden. Fertig ist der Look! :)

I also fell in love with their quad. It contains a creme color, a mat brown, a really intense black and an antique looking gold. Right now I use the quad almost everyday. It contains everything I need for a pretty eyemakeup. The creme can go all over the lid and I can use it to blend the edges of the eye makeup. The brown can go in the crease. So can the gold or I use it as an eyecatcher on the lid. The deep black can be used as a soft eyeliner. :)

Rituals Cheek & Eye Glow in Peach

9g kosten 24,90. Ein Schnäppchen ist etwas anderes, aber es war Liebe auf den ersten Blick. So richtig aufmerksam wurde ich auf die Kosmetikprodukte von Rituals durch Cream's Beauty Blog. Das Check & Eye Glow gibt es in 3 Farben: Peach, Bronze und Pink. Der Cheek & Eye Glow in Pink hat mich ganz stark an den Dior Diamond Highlighter in Rose erinnert. Da ich den jedoch schon habe und Bronze zu dunkel für mich ist, ist es Peach geworden. 

0.31 oz / 9g are 24,90€. It is not a bargain but I fell in love with this product right away :) The Cheek & Eye Glow is available in 3 colors: Peach, Bronze and Pink. I first saw the pink one at Cream's Beauty Blog. It reminds me a lot of Dior's Diamond Highlighter in Rose. Since I already own this and bronze was too dark for me I got it in peach...

Wie ihr an den Swatches sehen könnt, kann man die einzelnen Farben wirklich auch toll als Lidschatten verwenden. Die Farbe ganz rechts sind alle Farben gemischt. Dann erhält man einen leichten sonnengeküssten Glow. Ein absoluter Pluspunkt ist für mich auch, dass das Produkt zwar schimmert, jedoch kein Glitzer zu erkennen ist. :) Toll finde ich auch, dass das Produkte laut Hersteller aus "Natürlichen Edelsteinen und reinen Mineralien besteht und keine Parabene oder Duftstoffe enthält. - Da hat man doch gleich ein gutes Gewissen. ;)

As you can tell from the swatches you can really use the colors individually as eyeshadows to create a summery look. :) All the way to the right is the color you get when you mix all colors together. What I really like is that the product gives you a sunkissed glow without being obviously shimmery. Another plus is that the product is make from natural gemstones and pure minerals and does not contain any parabens nor perfume.

Korres

In meiner Apotheke gab es 10% auf alle Korres Produkte. Die Kollektion wird hier leider aufgrund von Lieferschwierigkeiten aus dem Sortiment genommen. Schade, da ich die Marke wirklich sehr gerne mag, aber es gibt sie ja noch bei Müller. Die Gelegenheit habe ich natürlich genutzt um mir noch ein paar Produkte zuzulegen. 

Zum einen durften die Milk Proteins Cleansing & Make-up removing wipes mit. Ich hatte mir vor einiger Zeit schon mal eine Packung zum testen gekauft und war sehr zufrieden damit. Für den stolzen Preis von ca. 7-8€ für 25 Tücher sind sie jedoch wirklich recht teuer und eher mal für wenn man sich etwas gönnen will. Außerdem durfte das Blush in der Farbe 22 "purple" und die Lidschatten in den Farben 28 "golden brown" und 66 "pink" mit. 

Essence Peach Punk vs. Bobbi Brown Calypso Coral

Als ich neulich die Rebels LE von Essence gesichtet hatte, erinnerte mich der lip & cheek pot in der Farbe Peach Punk doch sehr an den Bobbi Brown pot rouge in Calypso Coral. Zunächst einmal ist hier natürlich ein gehöriger Preisunterschied. Drogerie 7g für 2,45€ im Vergleich zu High-End 3,7g für 24,95€. 

Der direkte Vergleich zeige, dass sich die Produkte nicht nur hinsichtlich ihres Preises deutlich unterscheiden. Essence Peach Punk ist plump gesagt einfach Orange, wohingegen Calypso Coral eindeutig mehr Pink und Rot Anteile hat und dadurch zum klassischen Korallton wird. Ein weiterer Unterschied ist die Pigmentierung und die Konsistenz. Das Essence Produkt erinnert mich sehr an die Sleek Pout Polishes. Im Vergleich zum Bobbi Brown pot rouge ist der lip and cheek pot sehr dezent pigmentiert und von der Konsistenz sehr cremig bzw. glossig. Der BB pot rouge ist wesentlich fester und stärker pigmentiert. Beide Produkte eigenen sich laut Hersteller sowohl für die Wangen als auch für die Lippen. Aufgrund der Konsistenz würde ich jedoch sagen, dass sich das Essence Produkt eher für die Lippen eignet wohingegen das Bobbi Brown Produkt eher für die Wangen geeignet ist. Aufgrund der festen Konsistenz brauch man unter dem BB pot rouge viel Lippenpflege, damit das Produkt die Lippen nicht austrocknet. Das eher glossige Produkt von Essence ist da viel angenehmer auf den Lippen. Umgekehrt finde ich es auf den Wangen angenehmer, wenn das Produkt nicht so glossig ist. Insbesondere, da man bei dem schwächer pigmentierten Essence lip and cheek pot deutlich mehr Produkt benötigt als bei BB. 

Ich finde beide Produkte gut. Ich finde jedoch die Farbe Calypso Coral etwas interessanter und schöner als Peach Punk. Dazu kommt noch die Tatsache, dass ich Lippenprodukte lieber in Stiftform statt in kleinen Pöttchen mag, aber das ist Geschmackssache. Trotz der vermeintlichen Ähnlichkeit haben die Produkte aus meiner Sicht kaum Gemeinsamkeiten. Ich bereue es demnach auch nicht mir das teurere Produkt gekauft zu haben.

When I recently saw the latest limited edition from Essence I thought that the lip & cheek pot in peach punk (part of that LE) looked a lot like the Bobbi Brown pot rouge in calypso coral. Thus I compared them at home.

First of all there is a huge price difference. The drugstore product is only 2,45€ and you get 7g /0.24oz whereas the highend version is 24,95€ for only 3,7g / 0.13 oz of product. Besides the price difference they also don't have the same color when you see them side by side. Peach Punk is a true orange whereas calypso coral has a lot more pink and red in it which makes it a true coral. They also vary in texture and pigmentation. Essence lip and cheek pot reminds me a lot of Sleek's lip pout polishes. It is a lot less pigmented compared to the BB version and also a lot glossier. BB pot rouge is a lot harder in texture and also a lot more pigmented. Even though they are both meant to be for lips and cheeks I find that the BB pot rouge is a bit too drying on the lips thus you need a lot of lip balm underneath. The glossier Essence product is easier to wear on your lips. On the other hand I don't like glossy products on my cheek especially since you will need quite a lot of product to achieve the same pigmentation as with the BB pot rouge. I like both products however I think calypso coral is a more interesting color than peach punk. I am also not a huge fan of lip products in a pot. I thus don't regret buying the more expensive product since I guess I'll get a lot more joy out of it.

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Calypso Coral

Bei mir ist vor kurzem der Pot Rouge von Bobbi Brown in der Farbe Calypso Coral eingezogen. Ich mag sehr gerne Creme Rouges und die Farbe Calypso Coral ist gerade für den Frühling und Sommer toll. 

I recently got a Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in the color Calypso Coral. I am a huge fan of creme blushes and Calypso Coral is a great color for spring and summer time.

 Die Konsistenz ist eher fest. Mit einem Duofiber-Pinsel lässt sich das Creme Rouge gut auftragen. Da das Produkt extrem Pigmentiert ist, reicht eine kleine Menge aus und man muss eher vorsichtig damit umgehen. Die Haltbarkeit ist super, da das Rouge den ganzen Tag an Ort und Stelle bleibt.

The consistency of the blush is rather hard and not that creamy. I use a duofiber brush to apply the product and that works very well for me. Since the blush is super pigmented you only need a tiny amount and you have to be careful not to use too much product. The staying power is really great because the blush stays put all day.

Das Pot Rouge in Calypso Coral hat mich sehr an den Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in der Farbe Tipys erinnert. Nebeneinander geswatched könnt ihr sehen, dass die Produkte (verblendet) quasi identisch sind. Da mir an manchen Tagen eher nach Puder- und an anderen eher nach Cremeprodukten ist, finde ich es nicht schlimm, dass ich beide Produkte habe.

The color Calypso Coral reminded me a lot of the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Tipsy. I swatched them side by side and the result is basically the same, when you blend the products. Since I have days when I feel like powder blush and days when I feel like cream products I don't mind to have both of them.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Exposed, Tipsy, Dollface

Ich bin ein großer Fan der Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes. Mein erster Blush war Dollface, zudem ihr hier schon eine Review sehen konntet. Es folgten Exposed und ganz aktuell Tipsy. Tipsy habe ich bereits als Cheek Stain und finde die Farbe schön frisch.

Exposed und Dollface sind sehr alltagstauglich und passen zu fast alles. Tipsy ist etwas spezieller, aber gerade für den Sommer finde ich die Korallfarbe sehr passend. Besonders begeistert mich an den Blushes die lange Haltbarkeit, denn sie halten wirklich den ganzen Tag. Kostenpunkt sind $25 für 5,6g. 

I am a huge fan of the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes. I already reviewed the blush in the color dollface here. Since then I also got exposed and tipsy. I already have a Tarte cheek stain in the color tipsy and I really enjoy it because it always looks very fresh. Exposed and Dollface are very wearable colors which always work. Tipsy is a bright coral which looks especially good in summer time. What I like the most about these blushes is their staying power. They really last all day. For $25 you get 0.2 oz of product.

Physicians Formula Cashmere wear Ulta-Smoothing Blush in Natural

Bei meinem letzten Swap-Paket mit einer sehr lieben Person aus den USA, kam auch dieses Blush von Physicians Formula an. Ich fand die Aufmachung so schön, dass ich es unbedingt testen wollte. Das Blush gibt es in zwei Farben (Rose und Natural), ich habe mich für Natural entschieden. Kostenpunkt $12,95 für 7g, leider nur in den USA erhältlich. Die Aufmachung ist wie ihr sehen könnt sehr verspielt. Das Blush soll zudem dank 100% purem Cashmere Extrakt und Sodium Hyaluronate auch pflegende Eigenschaften haben, inwiefern das zutrifft, lässt sich meiner Meinung nach schwer testen. 

In the last swap package I received from a very nice person from the USA I got this Physicians Formula blush. I really liked the design and had to try it. It comes in two shades: rose and natural. I got it in natural. It is $12.95 for 0.24 oz. Since the blush contains 100% pure cashmere extract as well as sodium hyaluronate it is also suppost to moisturize and smooth your skin. Which I find rather hard to proof but that was also not the reason I got this blush.

Swatches: Zunächst den hellen und dunklen Ton einzeln, dann zusammen. Der dunkle Ton enthält goldenen Schimmer, der jedoch gemischt mit der anderen Farbe nicht so sehr auffällt.

First I swatched the shades individually and then mixed together. The darker shade contains golden shimmer which is not all that visible once the shades are mixed and applied to the cheeks.

Essence Marble Mania Blush "Swirlpool"

Mich hat der Hype um den Marble Mania Blush (Swirlpool) von Essence eigentlich eher weniger mitgerissen. Ich habe das Blush aber interessehalber doch mal im Geschäft geswatched und war dann doch von der Farbe sehr angetan. Also durfte es für 3,45€ mit. Enthalten sind 7g. Das Rouge ist wie ihr unschwer erkennen könnt marmoriert, wie fast alles aus dieser LE. Im Endeffekt ergibt sich aus den Farben ein frisches Pink mit leichtem Koralle-Einschlag. Das Blush enthält keine Glitzer- oder grobe Schimmerpartikel hat dafür jedoch einen wunderschönen "Glow", der einem eine natürliche Frische verleiht. Einziger Nachteil ist für mich die mittelmäßige Haltbarkeit. Wobei ich da mittlerweile auch ziemlich verwöhnt bin mit den Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes und seinesgleichen. Einen feuchten Auftrag des Blushes habe ich bisher auch noch nicht getestet, das würde vermutlich für eine längere Haltbarkeit sorgen, allerdings befürchte ich, dass der Glow dann etwas zu intensiv und vielleicht sogar metallisch werden könnte...Nichtsdestotrotz ist das Blush definitiv einen "Swatch" im Geschäft wert. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist meiner Meinung nach top und wer großen Wert auf eine top Haltbarkeit legt, wird sicher mit einem Cremerouge als Base oder ähnlichen Tricks die Haltbarkeit steigern können.

Habt ihr euch das Blush auch zugelegt?

I was not all that interested when the Hype about the new Essence limited edition blush from the Marble Mania collection in the color Swirlpool started. However I was curious enough to swatch it in the store one day. Finally I understood the Hype about this blush. It is a marbled blush but once the colors are swirled together you get a corally pink blush. It does not contain any obvious shimmer particles but it has a very pretty natural glow which makes you look fresh and healty. The only downside is that it does fade on me during the day. But I have to admit that I am quite spoiled with blushes like the Amazonian Clay blushes from Tarte. I have not tried to apply the blush with a damp brush yet. I am sure it would make it last longer but I am also affraid it might turn out too glowy and almost metallic then. However I am overall impressed with this blush. You get a great product for your money (3,45€ for 7g of product). If you are concerned about the staying powder I am sure there are ways to improve it for example by applying it over a cream blush.
