ANNY -It's just love

Mein erste ANNY Nagellack ist bei mir eingezogen. Ich war auf der Suche nach einem büro- / arbeitstauglichem roten Nagellack. Ohne Schimmer, nicht zu knallig, nicht zu vampig. Gefunden habe ich den Nagellack bei ANNY in der Farbe "It's just love" und genau der Name trifft es auch sehr gut. Der Nagellack ist für mich wirklich das perfekte Rot. Der Lack deckt in nur einer Schicht und trocknet recht schnell. 

I recently purchased my first ANNY nailpolish. I was looking for the perfect work-/ office appropriate red nailpolish. No shimmer, not to bright, not to vampy. I found it in ANNY's nail polish in the color "It's just love". Which indeed it is. I just need one coat and it dries pretty quit as well!

Preamp Orly

Heute gibt es die Swatches zu Preamp einem der vier Nagellacke aus Orly's  Electronica Kollektion. Ein aus meiner Sicht typisches Barbiepink mit Glitzerpartikeln. Auf dem Ringfinger trage ich zwei Schichten, auf den übrigen Fingern eine. Selbst mit zwei Schichten ist der Lack nicht 100%ig deckend, was mich jedoch nicht weiter stört. Wie gefällt euch die Farbe?

Today I want to show you the swatches of Preamp one of the four polishes from Orly's Electronica collection. It is a typical Barbie pink to me. The polish has pink shimmer in it as well. I applied two coats on the ringfinger the other fingers only show one coat of polish. The polish would probably need three coats to be opaque. But I don't mind the sheerness. How do you like the color?

Little Haul oder Nars Orgasm Nagellack und Lidschatten

Neulich im Müller...

Habe ich 3 neue Schätze entdeckt. Zum einen habe ich mir zum ersten Mal ein Produkt der deutschen Naturkosmetik Marke Lavera gekauft. Es geht um einen Lidschatten in einem wunderschönen Taupe (Shiny Taupe). 2g kosten 7,95€. Der Lidschatten riecht total gut. Normalerweise rieche ich nicht an meinen Lidschatten, aber bei diesem mache ich da gerne eine Ausnahme! Der Lidschatten riecht auch überraschenderweise nicht nach dem typischen Naturkosmetikgeruch, falls ihr wisst was ich meine. Sondern einfach nur total angenehm! Aber genug zum Duft der Lidschatten. Die Farbe ist ein wunderschönes Taupe, dass ich so auch nicht im Naturkosmetikbereich erwartet hätte. Ich werde mich in jedem Fall in Zukunft öfter auch mal bei Lavera umschauen. Die Textur, die Farbe, der Geruch und dann auch noch Naturkosmetik made in Germany,- da bin ich dabei! :) 

I recently went to my drugstore "Müller"...

I found three beautiful product. First of all I got my first product from the German natural cosmetic line "Lavera". It is a really pretty eyeshadow in the color shiny taupe. 2g cost 7,95€. I love the scent of this eyeshadow. It is definitly not what you would typically expect a natural eyeshadow to smell like! I can't stop smelling this eyeshadow and yes this does sound kind of weird. ;) But enough about the scent of the eyeshadow. I also love the texture, the color (which I again would not have expected to find in a natural cosmetic line) and I enjoy that the product is all natural and also made in Germany. I am sold and I am sure I will keep checking out this brand. :)

Die zwei anderen Schätze erinnern mich start an Nars Orgasm nur nicht als Blush sondern in der Nagellack und Lidschatten Version. Zum einen geht es um den Artdeco Lidschatten 235, ein schönes peachy-pink mit goldenem Schimmer (0,8g für 4,69€). Gerade im Sommer lachen mich solche Farben sehr an. So konnte ich auch nicht an dem gleichfarbigen Nagellack von der Marke Makeup Factory in der Farbe 494 vorbeigehen (9ml für 8,50€)... Aber seht selbst.

The other two purchases I made remind me a lot of the Nars blush in orgasm. Just in its nail polish and eyeshadow version. The eyeshadow I am talking about is from Artdeco in the color 235 a really pretty peachy-pink with gold shimmer. (the price for 0,8g is 4,69€). I love this kind of color in the summer time. Thus I also got a similar colored nail polish form Makeup Factory in the color 494. For 8,50€ you get 9ml of product. 

 

Barielle Queen for a day

So, der erste Barielle Nagellack aus meinem neuen Set wurde gerade getestet. Von der Farbe erinnert mich der Nagellack stark an OPI Bubble Bath. Nur erreiche ich bei diesem Nagellack mit nur einer Schicht das selbe Ergebnis für das ich bei OPI mind. 2 Schichten bräuchte. Der Nagellack deckt für eine so helle Farbe recht gut. Natürlich ist er eher dazu gedacht ein sheeres Ergebnis zu erzielen, aber mit nur einer weiteren Schicht würde der Lack vermutlich nahezu vollständig deckend sein. Eine tolle Farbe für jeden Tag und vor allem auch für die Arbeit.

I tried the first Barielle nail polish from the set I recently purchased. The color "Queen for a day" reminds me a lot of the OPI polish "Bubble Bath". Although the Barielle nail polish only needs one coat where I would need two of the OPI polish. The light color is suppost to be sheer but with only one more coat this polish would almost be opaque. :) It is a simple but elegant color to wear everyday especially for work.

KIKO Peach Nagellack

Dieser Nagellack von Kiko (359) durfte bei mir einziehen. Mit nur einer Schicht deckt er erstaunlich gut. Für mich ein schöner Frühlingsnagellack.

I recently bought this nail polish from Kiko in the color 359. I only needed one coat. It is a really pretty spring color.

Catrice Sing, oh Champs-Elysée Nagellack

Heute mal ein neuer Nagellack aus der Ultimate-Nudes Reihe von Catrice. "Sing, oh Champs-Elyeée" ist ein heller Peachton der toll in den Sommer passt. Zwei Schichten und der Lack deckt. Aufgrund des neuen Pinsels finde ich den Auftrag sehr einfach. Die Trockenzeit ist auch ok. Zur Haltbarkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen, da ich ihn erst gestern lackiert habe. 

I got this peach nail polish from the new Catrice range. It's one of their Ultimate Nudes polishes called "Sing, oh Champs-Elyeée". I enjoy this color because it reminds me of summer. I needed two coats. I don't have anything negative to say about this polish. 

Catrice FeMALE Nagellack in Nude

Aus der FeMALE LE von Catrice habe ich mir den Nude Nagellack gekauft. Ich mag so alltagstaugliche Farben sehr gerne. Gefreut habe ich mich zudem sehr, dass der Lack schon nach nur einer Schicht deckt. Die Nude Kollegen von OPI und Essie brauchen i.d.R. zwei Schichten. Etwas enttäuscht war ich jedoch, dass der Lack zu einem matten Finish trocknet. *MERKE* Catrice versteht unter Soft touch = Matt. Ich bin kein großer Fan von mattem Nagellack. Zum Glück konnte ich das Finish mit einer Schicht Topcoat wieder glossy werden lassen. So gefällt mir der Lack sehr gut Die Farbe ist eine Mischung aus OPI Tickle My France-y und Essie Demure Vixen nur ohne den Schimmer. Mit anderen Worten ein Nudeton mit leichtem Mauve-Einschlag.

I got a nail polish in nude from Catrice's FeMALE limeted edition. I really like wearable nudes for everyday. I was also pretty impressed that I only needed one coat to achive the results underneath. Similar OPI and Essie polishes need two coats. When I realized the polish dries to a matt finish I was a little disappointed. I am not a huge fan of matt polishes. However I could turn the polish into a glossy finish by applying a top coat. I really enjoy the polish the way it looks once the top coat is applied. The color of the polish is somewhere in between OPI's Tickle My France-y and Essie's Demure Vixen (without the shimmer). A nude with a hint of mauve.

Bei mir ist jetzt Frühling!

Der Esprit Nagellack in Rosewood ist schon länger in meinem Besitz, um genau zu sein, seit Esprit Make-up letztes Jahr seinen Ausverkauf bei DM hatte. Zum Einsatz kam er jedoch erst jetzt. Mir ist bisher offen gestanden entgangen wie schön dieser Lack ist. Ein tolles frisches Pink mit Korall-Einschlag. Ein toller Lack für den Frühling wie ich finde. Auf dem Bild seht ihr eine Schicht, eine zweite hätte jedoch nicht geschadet. Kombiniert habe ich dazu den Tickled Pink Blush von Catrice aus der "Expect the unexpected" LE von Catrice (Sept. 2010), sowie den Anti Aging Lipgloss von Alverde in der Farbe Pink Melon (ich befürchte mittlerweile nicht mehr im Sortiment). Der Lipgloss ist übrigens einer meiner Favoriten. Er fühlt sich sehr pflegend an und klebt nicht. Obwohl er so knallig aussieht, ist er bei dezentem Auftrag sehr alltagstauglich und verleiht den Lippen eine schöne Frische ohne dabei zu geschminkt auszusehen. Ein bisschen wie Benetint in Lipgloss-Form. Wirklich schade, dass er nicht mehr im Sortiment ist. Die Farben passen wie ich finde alle toll zu dem Blütenschal von H&M. Der Frühling kann kommen.

Seid ihr auch schon in Frühlingsstimmung?

Lately I am in a spring mood. Thus I reach for brighter colors than I did before. I didn't get anything new but shopped my collection this time. I have had the Esprit nail polish in Rosewood since last year when Esprit Makeup was discontinued. I have not used it so far and now that I did I wonder why? It is a beautiful fresh pink with a slight corally hint. I combined it with a very bright pink blush from a Catrice in Tickled Pink from their "Expect the unexpected" limited edition (Sept. 2010). As well as a Alverde Anti-Aging Lipgloss in the color Pink Melon which is unfortunately not sold anymore. This lipgloss is one of my favorites. It looks rather bright and intense in the packaging but it is very wearable and just makes you look fresh and healthy without making you look like you are wearing too much makeup. I combined the makeup-look with a floral scarf from H&M.

OPI Bubble Bath

Bubble Bath ist ein Nagellack aus dem Best of the Best Set von OPI. Warum es dieser Nagellack unter die besten geschafft hat, ist mir leider nicht so ganz klar. Nach drei Schichten hatte ich das auf dem Foto erkennbare Ergebnis erzielt. Es ist ein sehr natürlicher My-Nails-But-Better-Look. Das Ergebnis erinnert mich stark an eine rosanere Version von Essence Pro White French  Nagelaufheller. Mit dem wesentlichen Unterschied, dass der Essence Lack ein vergleichbares Ergebnis mit nur einer Schicht erreicht.

Bubble Bath was a polish from the Best of the Best set from OPI. I am not quite sure why this polish made it in the Best of the Best set from OPI. I needed three coats to achieve the result you can see in the picture. It is a very natural My-nails-but-better-Look. It looks very neat but I can achive a very similar result with my Essence Pro White French polish. The main difference is that the OPI polish gives you a slight pastel pink look whereas the Essence polish is more of a white hue. However I only need one coat of the Essence polish to achieve the same level of opaqueness.

Essence Crystalliced LE -Mein Einkauf

Die Essence Crystalliced LE hat mich vor allem mit den "Iced Age Reloaded" Produkten angesprochen. Hier durfte der Nagellack und der Flüssige Lidschatten mit. Zudem hat auch der Highlighter ein neues Zuhause gefunden.

I really liked the "Iced Age Reloaded" nail polish and liquid eyeshadow as well as the highlighter from the Essence Crystalliced LE. Thus I will show you some swatches of them today.

Der Nagellack ist farblich eine Mischung aus Taupe und Kitt mit goldenem Schimmer. Eine sehr schicke Farbe wie ich finde. Dafür, dass der Lack so hell ist, hat eine Schicht schon überraschend gut gedeckt. Eine zweite benötigt man jedoch, wenn man den Nagel nicht mehr durchsehen möchte.

The nail polish is a very light taupe color with a slight grey undertone and gold shimmer. It is a very sophisticated color. Even though it is rather light one coat already has a surprisingly good coverage. But you will need two coats for complete opaqueness.

Der Lidschatten hat eine ähnliche Farbe. Ich finde die Farbe toll um sie auf dem gesamten Lid aufzutragen um den Augen ein bisschen mehr Ausdruck zu verleihen.

The eyeshadow has a similar color. It is perfect to apply all over the eyelid to give you a polished look. 

Zu guter Letzt der Highlighter. Er ist in einem Pumpspender was ich sehr praktisch und hygienisch finde. Der Highlighter ist sehr hell fast weißlich mit einem schönen Sheen. 

Last but not least the highlighter. It is in a pump dispenser which is very practial and hygienic at the same time. The highlighter is almost white and gives a beautiful sheen.

Essie Demure Vixen

Der Essie Nagellack in Demure Vixen ist das neuste Mitglied in meiner Nagellack-Sammlung. Eigentlich ist er aus der Sommer-Kollektion 2010. Die Farbe ist ziemlich schwer zu beschreiben und war auch nicht gerade einfach "richtig" zu fotografieren. Der Nagellack ist ein gräuliches altrosa / mauve Ton und sieht von weitem aus wie ein Creme-Finish Nagellack. Bei näherem Hinsehen und dem richtigen Lichteinfall sieht man jedoch vollkommen dezenten violett / pinken Schimmer. Zwei Schichten sind deckend. Ich trage ihn auf dem Foto schon den dritten Tag. Er hält also auch gut.

The Essie nail polish in Demure Vixen is the latest member in my nail polish colletion. It was released in summer 2010. It is a pretty unique color. A greyish mauve color which looks like a creme finish most of the time. Except when you look very closely you can see subtle pink and purple shimmer. I needed two coats. In the picture I already wear the polish the third day so it also lasts pretty well.

Nagellack in der Weihnachtszeit

Schubladen voll Nagellack und die Weihnachtszeit steht vor der Tür. Nagellack muss ja nicht immer nur auf die Nägel...

Mit etwas strukturiertem, festem Papier und einer schönen Auswahl an vorzugsweise schimmernden und glitzernden Nagellacken kann man auf den Goldstift verzichten und stattdessen zum (Nagellack-)Pinsel greifen. In die Spitze noch ein kleines Löchlein rein und auf die Rückseite noch ein paar nette Worte oder ganz einfach Für:______ und Von:_____ und schon hat man einen meiner Meinung nach recht ansehnlichen, selbstgemachten Geschenkanhänger. :)

Bei den Lacken, bei denen der Pinsel zu breit ist, habe ich einen kleinen Essence Gel-Eyeliner Pinsel benutzt, der mal bei einem Geleyeliner dabei war und bisher nicht von mir benutzt wurde.

With a nice piece of paper and a nice shimmer and glitter nail polish collection you can easily make your own gift tag. If the nail polish brush is too big just use an unused / old eyeliner brush which are usually pretty small.

Orly Nite Owl

Dieser Nagellack ist ein dezenter Braun- / Beigeton mit silber Schimmer. Zwei Schichten Nagellack sind hier nötig, damit der Lack deckt.

Der Nagellack hat mich spontan etwas an den Calvin Klein Nagellack in Barefoot erinnert. Allerdings ist dieser im Vergleich zum Nite Owl Nagellack von Orly Nude im Gegensatz zu Braun, enthält aber ebenfalls silber Schimmer. Beim Nite Owl Lack bin ich noch unentschlossen, ob ich den Schimmer im Lack mag oder nicht. Eigentlich bin ich eher ein Fan von Glossy- /-Cremefinish Lacken. Aber wer schimmer mag und trotzdem eine dezente Alltagsfarbe sucht, liegt mit diesem Lack richtig.

The Orly polish called Nite Owl is a light brown polish with silber shimmer. It reminded me of the Calvin Klein polish in barefoot. The main difference is that the polish in barefoot has a nude base color whereas the Nite Owl polish is more of a brown color. Both have the silber shimmer though. I am not sure if I am a big fan of the shimmer since I prefer glossy / cremefinish when it comes to nail polish most of the time. But if you are into shimmer polish and need a subtle everyday color this one might be the right polish for you!

Orly Fowl Play

Dieser Nagellack ist sicherlich für viele das Highlight der Herbst-Kollektion. Die Ausgangsfarbe ist ein sehr dunkles Pflaumenlila außerdem sind in diesem Nagellack kleine und auch größere Schimmerpartikel enthalten, welche je nach Lichteinfall in unterschiedlichen Farben schimmern. Zwei Schichten und der Lack deckt perfekt. Das trocknen geht auch super. Einzig das Ablackieren ist wie bei Schimmer-/ Glitzer-Lacken üblich etwas aufwendiger. Dafür ist der Lack aber auch eine wirklich gelungene Zusammenstellung. Wer einen wirklich außergewöhnlichen Nagellack sucht, sollte sich den Lack definitiv anschauen. Ich habe mein Bestes gegeben die Vielschichtigkeit dieses Nagellacks in einem Bild einzufangen, aber gerade bei Lacken, die je nach Lichteinfall die Farbe ändern, ist die Realität einfach doch immer lebendiger..

Fowl Play is probably the highlight in the fall collection of Orly polishes. Its base color is a very dark lilac und there are small as well as larger shimmer particles in the polish. Depending on the light they shimmer in different colors. I needed two coats with this polish. It dries pretty fast. As usually with shimmer polishes it is a bit more work to remove the polish. Everybody who is looking for a really extraordinary nail polish color should have a closer look at this one. (I tried my best to capture the complexity of this polish but in reality it is prettier than what the picture is able to show).

Orly Peachy Parrot

Peachy Parrot war sehr schwer zu fotografieren. Trotz Tageslicht und einer Menge Bilder, konnte ich die Farbe nicht richtig einfangen. Die Farbe ist eine Mischung aus Peachy-Pink und Terrakotta. Im Bild kommt vor allem die Terrakotta-Farbe zum Ausdruck. Ich finde die Farbe etwas besonderes, da man diese Farbmischung nicht so häufig findet. Anfangs war ich etwas unschlüssig ob die Farbe etwas für mich ist. Vor allem, da ich normalerweise einen Bogen um alle Farben, die in Richtung Orange gehen mache. Irgendwie erinnert die Farbe auch ein wenig an "Großmutter-Nagellack". Aber irgendwie hat es mir die Farbe doch angetan und ich finde sie geradezu perfekt für den Herbst.

Das Finish ist leicht schimmernd. Für das Foto habe ich nur eine Schicht benötigt. Die Trockenzeit war auch recht kurz.

Peachy Parrot was really hard to fotograph. The color is a mixture of peachy-pink and terracotta. The picture mainly shows the terracotta in the color. :/ It is a rather unique color. Even though I am not a huge fan of anything slightly orange colored and this polish also kind of reminds me of grandma nail polish. I kind of fell in love with it. It is the most perfect color for fall. The finish is slightly shimmery. I only needed one coat for the picture. It also dries quickly.

Orly Sweet Peacock

Diese Farbe hätte ich eher in eine Sommer LE vermutet als in einer Herbst LE. Auf den Fotos wirkt die Farbe etwas bläulicher als sie in Wirklichkeit ist. In echt ist sie einen tick mehr Türkis. Das Finish ist sehr schimmernd, was mir persönlich nicht so zusagt aber auf jeden Fall ein echter Hingucker ist. Ich habe hier zwei Schichten benötigt, damit der Lack gedeckt hat. Das trocknen ging aber super schnell.

Sweet Peacock is a color I would have expected in a summer nail polish collection rather then in an autumn collection. The pictures don't exactly show the true color. In real life it is slightly more turquois than the pictures imply. The finish is really shiny and sparkly which I usually don't like in a nail polish but it is a definite eye-catcher. I needed two coats for this picture. The polish dries pretty fast :)

Orly Sea Gurl

Der Nagellack Sea Gurl ist ein schöner metallischer grau / silber Ton. Der Ausdruck Gunmetal beschreibt die Farbe ziemlich gut. Die Farbe passt meiner Meinung nach toll in die oft neblige Herbstzeit. Der Lack deckt sehr gut, sodass man auch schon mit einer Schicht auskommen kann. Der Auftrag hat sich auch hier einfach gestaltet. Von mir gibt es eine klare Empfehlung.

The nail polish called "Sea Gurl" is a really pretty gunmetal color with a metallic finish. You can get an opaque coverage with only one coat. The application was also really effortless. In this foggy autumn time this is a really nice color. :)

Orly Lucky Duck

Orly Lucky Duck ist ein satter Grünton in einem creme / glossy Finish. Da ich ein großer Fan dieses Finishes bin, finde ich es etwas schade, dass dieser Lack der einzige seiner Art in der Herbstkollektion von Orly ist. Die Farbe finde ich für den Herbst passend auch wenn ich persönlich lieber etwas dunklere Khaki-Grüntöne bevorzuge. Aber das ist ja alles Geschmackssache. Der Auftrag war sehr einfach. Eine Schicht deckt bereits gut, zwei waren perfekt. Haltbarkeit und "Trageausdauer" sind auch vollkommen ok.

Orly Lucky Duck is a intense green nailpolish with a creme / jelly finish. Since I love this kind of finish I am a little dissapointed that this is the only polish with this finish in the autumn colletion from Orly. The color is a nice fall color even though I personally prefer slightly darker and more khaki greens. But that's a matter of taste...

The application was hassle-free. One coat is already pretty good but two coats makes it perfect. The polish also dries good.

Orly Birds of a Feather Herbst 2011

Vor ein paar Tagen ist bei mir ein kleines Päckchen von Orly mit der aktuellen Nagellack Herbstkollektion "Birds of a Feather" angekommen. Vorab schon mal ein Gruppenbild der Nagellacke. Neben ein paar klassischen Herbstfarben sind auch ein paar außergewöhnliche Farben dabei. In den kommenden Tagen werde ich die einzelnen Lacke im Detail vorstellen. Vielen Dank an Orly für das zur Verfügung stellen der Herbstlacke :)

A couple of days ago I got a little package from Orly. They were so kind to sent me their current autumn collection which is called "Birds of a Feather". In the following days I will show you swatches and talk more about the individual polishes.

Essence Vampire's Love Nagellack

Ich habe gestern die LE in unserem DM-Markt entdeckt. Kostenpunkt 1,79€ für 10ml.

Die Nagellacke habe ich für euch geswatched:

Überraschender Weise haben die dunklen Farben "Hunt me if you can" und "Gold old Buffy" schlechter gedeckt als die helleren Farben.

I found the Essence LE called Vampire's Love at our local DM-Markt yesterday. I have some swatches of the nail polishes from this LE for you :) The darker colors needed surprisingly more coats compared to the other colors.

Obwohl der Nagellack "Gold old Buffy" nicht so toll deckt hat, gefällt er mir im Endeffekt am besten. Er erinnert mich auch irgendwie an den Basic Nagellack, den ich euch hier schon vorgestellt hatte.

Although "Gold old Buffy" needed the most coats to be opaque I like it the most. The color is really pretty and reminds me of the Basic nail polish I showed you in this post.
