Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool

Cleansing and Polishing Tool, Kostenpunkt $39.

Find die Aufbewahrungsmöglichkeit eine tolle Lösung!

Sigma also just released a little brother or actually looks more like a sister ;) of the Clarisonic. It is called Cleansing and Polishing Tool. It is $39.
I really like the solution with the case to take it along.

I ordered from Cosmetics-Skincare and got myself the Mac Mineralized Skinfinish natural. Right now you get a little gift if you order is at least 10 GBP. For more details see here. I got a Playboy eyeshadow tester (new) in the color all dolled up. I didn't really have high hopes for a playboy eyeshadow. But it wasn't all that bad...
With the Mac Powder I saves about 6€ in comparison to the original price in Germany, which is 26,50€ (almost $38 which is crazy compared to the US price which is $27). Well I like it a lot so far but I am glad I got it for less. Because the full price in Germany is (no matter how good it is) just not justified.

Mac Tendertone vs. Sleek Pout Polish

Mac Tendertone:

Mac released the Tendertones in 2007 but they were limited edition. The idea: They are suppost to condition your lips and protect them (SPF 12). They feel like a balm but look like a gloss. They only have a hint of color to them. They smell fruity. 0.2 fl. oz retail for $14.50.

Pout Polishes are 0.34 oz and retail for about 4 GBP. They have a similar concept. They condition your lips and protect them (SPF 15). They have a glossy finish but feel like a balm. They smell sweet like cotton candy. The main difference is that these are a lot more pigmented.

The main difference is the price. Other than that the pigmentation is the biggest difference. I do prefer the scent of the Tendertones and that they are in a glass pot unlike the Pout Polishes which are in a plastic pot. But that's just small preferences. They are both not really travel friendly because you have to dip your finger in the pot (which I don't like doing when I don't have the chance to clean my hands before) or use a brush.

Was sind eure liebsten Abschminktücher?

These are my favorite makeup removing wipes. They are extremly soft, they clean well, they smell good and they don't dry out my skin.
But no matter how I get rid of my make-up I always realize that there are still residues of make-up on my skin. When I remove my make-up and then use my clarisonic I still end up with make-up on the brush of the clarisonic. So if you don't have a clarisonic make sure to use a gentle toner after you have removed your make-up that should get rid of most of the residues.
Which are your favorite wipes?

Brush Cleasing

110ml kosten hier ebenfalls 10,63€.

Some women use brushes to apply their make-up others don't. If you use brushes you have to clean them regularly! A friend of mine just recently told me that she throws out her concealer brush on a regular bases because she is afraid of germs. She had never heard of a brush cleanser. I of course told her about it after that conversation. That's what motivated my to talk about how I clean my brushes.
There are so many different options how to clean them. There is solid brush-cleansing soap, liquid brush shampoo or liquid spray-on brush cleanser. Some people also use regular or baby shampoo. I once used a regular shampoo to clean my brushes and they were totally scrubby afterwards.
The most famous solid brush soaps are in Germany the da vince soap and "Pinsel Phönix". Dani made a great review about the da Vinci soap. Fashionfee make a good review about the Pinsel Phönix.
Another famous brush cleanser is the one from Mac. There are plenty reviews about this one.
The one I am using is the Bare Escentuals Well-Cared for Brush Conditioning Shampoo and for inbetween I use the matching Quick Change Brush Cleanser which you spray on.

Hier mal eine kleine Bildergeschichte zum Pinselreinigen:
Here is a picture story of how I clean my brushes:

Der schmutzige Pinsel
The dirty brush.

Den Pinsel nass machen.
I wet my brush.

Der Pinselreiniger
The brush shampoo.

Ein wenig Pinselreiniger auf die Hand geben.
I apply I little brush shampoo into my hand.

Den nassen Pinsel in der Handfläche aufschäumen.
I clean the wet brush in the palm of my hand.

Der schaumige Pinsel.
The brush is foamy.

Den Schaum gründlich abspülen.
Rinse the foam out with water.

Take a clean papertowel and dab off the excess water.

Find a matching Brush Guard and slip it on from the handle of the brush towards the bristles.

Kopfüber trocknen lassen.
Let them dry upside down.

Fertig!
Done!

I really enjoy the brush shampoo from Bare Escentuals and it has already lasted me quite a while. The Quick Change Spray I don't use as often. It is only for in between and it doesn't clean that well compared to the shampoo. Because of the price raise thought I might look for an alternative once my Bare Escentuals brush shampoo is used up.

Maybe I will try to make my one brush cleanser like the one EnKore does. Although this again is more like a quick spray and not a shampoo. I might try the Elf brush cleaning shampoo once the BE is empty. It is only $3 for 4.1 fl oz. Has anybody tried this yet?

This looks like clarisonic's little brother. I don't know how much they have in common. This cleanser also comes with a sponge and massagerolls. For only 7€ it might be a try.

Diorskin Nude Foundation Story

Also habe ich mich an Dior gewendet.

The Diorskin Nude is one of my most favorite Foundations. It was about half empty when the pump dispenser stopped working. I could not push it down anymore. Since you can't unscrew the top of the foundation I contacted Dior. They asked me to sent them the foundation to France which I did. I received a confirmation a couple of days later that the foundation had arrived. They were going to sent me a new one plus a little extra for the effort and the shipping I had to pay. Another couple of days and a package from Dior arrived. It contained the new foundation and a soap from the perfume J'adore. It smells really nice. Dior has a great customer service. But with a product that expensive you kind of expect that. I was positively surprised anyway.
In whole process took about one and a half weeks. In between I was invited to a weeking to which I didn't want to forgo my favorite foundation. That's why I went to a department store explaining the situation and asking for a sample size. The lady didn't have a sample but was very understanding and offered me to fill me a little jar (which was like 0,50€) with product from the tester. She was pretty generous so the foundation in the jar lasted me for a couple of days. Nice customer service as well :)

You can find great swatches to this LE at Bluebell's Blog.
I love the nail polishes and the eye shadows are all great basic colors with a good quality. I was only a little disappointed with the taupe color 903A. It could have had a little better pigmentation. But maybe I just grabed a bad one?

The blush in the picture above is actually not part of this LE even though it colorwise matches perfectly. It is from the Jungle Chick LE which was quite a while ago. I found this blush a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with it. I was happy to find another one so I now have a backup :) It is the perfect color for everyday and I love the satin finish it has and all that for only 1€.

One of the polishes (905A) looks a lot like my favorit OPI Tickle My France-y.
Index- und Middelinger OPI, Pinky und Ringfinger MNY.
MNY is just a little lighter and less rosy than the OPI one.

Essence Meet me @ holografics.com 3 oder 5 Lacke?

I recently saw a brand at woolworth that looked just like the Burt's Bees products do. They had lip balms and handcremes each for 1€. I was curious and got one of the lip balms. From the ingredients the Original Burt's Bees lip conditioner looks a lot more "natural" than the dupe does. Also the dupe has a sort of artificial scent and flavour. Even though it is a lot cheaper (Burt's Bees is 4€ in Germany) I would probably prefer the Original. Just because I don't like the artificial flavour...

DIY Chanel Black Pearl Dupe

I stole the idea from someone else. But I thought it was so cool that I wanted to try it myself. I bought a dark (gry/black) shimmery nail polish from the drugstore. In my case it's the Essence polish in Must have. And I took two different green shimmery eye shadows / pigments. I took the peak of a disinfected nail file to get the pigment in the small opening of the nail polish bottle. Shake it well and stir it a little and there you saved a whole lot of money. It might not be perfect but it's close enough for me. :) The consistency of the nail polish will change a little but it is still good to work with.

The first two fingers are the Chanel Dupe and the one underneath is the original grey/black Essence polish.
How do you like the dupe?

Kaffee-Schaumseife nachgemacht

Was man dazu braucht:

Man braucht nur:
- 100 ml Kaffee ( extra stark)
- 10 g Betain (Eine Waschsubstanz bzw. Mildes Tensid)

I recently won at a blog giveaway at nature-beautyrecipe. She has a blog all about DIY cosmetic. She also has her own shop were she sells ingredients you need to do your own products. I won a 10€ voucher and bought a new things I needed to try out a few new recipes. I first made a coffee-foam soup it is suppost to be for the kitchen to get rid off scents like garlic, onion or fish. It works great for that. All you need is...

Man braucht nur:
- 100 ml strong coffee
- 10 g Betaine (A mild Tenside)
- a little d-panthenol (Provitamin B5)
- a little Allantoin (gives your skin moisture)
- 20 drops of Paraben K (Makes your foam last a while before it goes bad)
- a foam soap dispenser (I got mine at Ebay )

All you need to do is mix everything in the dispenser and you are ready to go.
I am still totally new in doing my own cosmetic or skincare products. I have so far make a lip conditioner, a Massagebutter, a sheabutter-mousse, solid makeupremover oil, Foot peeling, body peeling and lip peeling). I enjoy experimenting but I just don't have as much time to do so as I would love to have.

Have you ever tried DIY cosmetic / skincare stuff?

This Chai Tea was a bring along from South Aftica. Since I really like Chai Tea especially Chai Latte I really appreciate it. I already tried it today and liked it a lot! :)

Esprit cosmetic is not going to be sold in dm anymore. That's why they have a 50% sale going on. I bought an eyeshadow brush, a lipliner and a kajal. I like the products a lot so far. I was considering getting some of their eyeshadows as well but they just didn't convince me...

Schnäppchen of the day!

I found this cute little clutch today. It has a really pretty color a mixture of silver/grey/taupe with a metallic look. You can take of the handle or leave it on. I also like that it doesn't just close with a magnet but with a zipper. I got it on sale for 5€ instead of 15€. :)

I think it would look really nice with this blue dress...

NYX Cream Blush Update

I got two more NYX Cream Blushes. I have already shown you my Cream Blushes in Rose Petal und Natural here. Since I liked them so much I got two more colors Boho Chic and Glow. I wonder if I'll ever be able to finish any of them. You always use so little product that I doubt it. But I like to have a nice color choice which I certainly have now.

Rose Petal and Natural are rather similar in color compared to the other two colors. Rose Petal is a little more rosy and Natural a little more peachy. I love both colors they are very wearable and versatile.

Boho Chic is a light cool pink which reminds me a lot of Well Dressed. It is the only Cream Blush out of the four that has shimmer in it. I would have prefered Boho Chic without the shimmer. Cream products have a certain glow themselves already anyway.

Glow is a really bright fresh pink. It does remind me a little of Fleur Power by Mac. At MUA you also see comparison swatches to the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Pale Pink.
