I hit the pan!

Heute ist ein ganz besonderer Tag für mich als Beauty-Fan ;)
Ich habe zum ersten Mal bei einem Produkt das Pfännchen erreicht! Wie ihr sehen könnt ist noch immer reichlich Produkt übrig, aber es ist zumindest ein Ende in Sicht.

Today is a very special day for me as a beauty fan ;) I hit pan on a product for the very first time! As you can tell there is still a lot product left to use but at least you see there will be an end  some time.

Es handelt sich hierbei um die Urban Decay Brow Box in Beige Betty. Die linke Farbe ist die perfekte Augenbrauenfarbe für mich und quasi täglich in Gebrauch!

I am talking about the Urban Decay Brow Box in Beige Betty. The left shade is the perfect browcolor for me. I basically use it every day.

MAC Lady Grey Quad

Ich hatte euch das Lady Grey Quad bereits als eins meiner Lieblingsprodukte 2011 gezeigt. Heute möchte ich es euch etwas näher vorstellen. Das Quad ist aus der MAC me over LE. Die Palette entspricht absolut meinem Geschmack.


I already showed you the Lady Grey Quad as one of my favorite products 2011. Today I want to show you some swatches. The Quad is from the MAC me over limited edition. It is the perfect palette to me.

All Races: (Matt) Ein kühler Mauve- / Rosaton
Tendersmoke: (Frost) Ein rauchiger Lilaton
Lady Grey: (Satin) Ein schöner Grau-/ Grünton
Hazy Day: (Veluxe Pearl) Ein Taupe

Für mich das perfekte Quad. Es sind Farben vertreten (Lila, Grün) und dennoch sind die Farben absolut alltagstauglich.




All Races: (matte) a cool mauve-pink
Tendersmoke: (frost) a smokey purple
Lady Grey: (satin) A pretty greyish green
Hazy Day: (veluxe pearl) taupe

I love that there are colors in this quad (like  purple and green) but they are so subtle that they are easily wearable everyday.

Essence Crystalliced LE -Mein Einkauf

Die Essence Crystalliced LE hat mich vor allem mit den "Iced Age Reloaded" Produkten angesprochen. Hier durfte der Nagellack und der Flüssige Lidschatten mit. Zudem hat auch der Highlighter ein neues Zuhause gefunden.

I really liked the "Iced Age Reloaded" nail polish and liquid eyeshadow as well as the highlighter from the Essence Crystalliced LE. Thus I will show you some swatches of them today.

Der Nagellack ist farblich eine Mischung aus Taupe und Kitt mit goldenem Schimmer. Eine sehr schicke Farbe wie ich finde. Dafür, dass der Lack so hell ist, hat eine Schicht schon überraschend gut gedeckt. Eine zweite benötigt man jedoch, wenn man den Nagel nicht mehr durchsehen möchte.

The nail polish is a very light taupe color with a slight grey undertone and gold shimmer. It is a very sophisticated color. Even though it is rather light one coat already has a surprisingly good coverage. But you will need two coats for complete opaqueness.

Der Lidschatten hat eine ähnliche Farbe. Ich finde die Farbe toll um sie auf dem gesamten Lid aufzutragen um den Augen ein bisschen mehr Ausdruck zu verleihen.

The eyeshadow has a similar color. It is perfect to apply all over the eyelid to give you a polished look. 

Zu guter Letzt der Highlighter. Er ist in einem Pumpspender was ich sehr praktisch und hygienisch finde. Der Highlighter ist sehr hell fast weißlich mit einem schönen Sheen. 

Last but not least the highlighter. It is in a pump dispenser which is very practial and hygienic at the same time. The highlighter is almost white and gives a beautiful sheen.

 Wie hat euch die LE gefallen? Habt ihr etwas eingekauft?

Essence Legends of the sky eyeshadow palette (depotted)

Ich habe heute die Legends of the Sky LE gesichtet. Mit durfte die Palette. Die Farben haben mich bis auf einzelne Ausnahmen total angesprochen. Etwas problematisch finde ich jedoch die Verpackung. Optisch passt sie zwar gut in die LE, jedoch ist sie sehr sperrig und schließt in meinem Fall auch nicht sicher ab. Störend finde ich auch das Schaumstoffmaterial, in das die Lidschatten gebettet sind, da es sehr schmutz anfällig ist.

I saw the new Legends of the Sky LE from Essence today and got the eyeshadow palette. The colors are really pretty except for the brighter corally red which I don't think I can pull off as an eyeshadow. They all have a really nice texture and pigmentation. What I don't like about the palette is the packaging. It goes with the design of the LE but it is rather bulky and doesn't close very well. I also don't like the material that devides the eyeshadows because it gets dirty really fast.

Kurzerhand habe ich mich dann entschlossen die Lidschatten zu depotten. Ich hatte noch ein leeres Kompakt vom Korres Monoi Oil Bronzer, der bei einer Bestellung bei mir völlig zerbrochen ankam. Das Kompakt ist deutlich kleiner und auch flacher als die LE Palette. Die Lidschatten ließen sich problemlos mit einer kleinen Nagelschere, Messer oder Nagelfeile heraushebeln. (Vorsicht nicht verletzen!). Das Kompakt von Korres hat sogar noch einen Spiegel im Deckel. Einzig der Pinsel ist nicht mehr dabei, aber damit komme ich sehr gut klar.

I decided to depot the eyeshadows in this palette. I still had an empty compact from the Korres Monoi Oil Bronzer. It is a lot smaller and also more flat than the Essence palette. I could remove the eyeshadows easily with a small knife (Be careful not to hurt yourselves when you to so). The shadows fit nicely into the compact I have which also has a mirror. I just don't have the brush that came with the palette in my new compact but I don't really mind that.

Wet n Wild Trio Walking on Eggshells und Silent Treatment

U.a. von Cream's Beautyblog inspiriert habe ich mir diese zwei sehr alltagstauglichen Trios von Wet n Wild zugelegt.

Inspired by Cream's Beautyblog I got myself these very wearable trios from Wet n Wild.

Zunächst einmal Swatches zu Walking on Eggshells.

Dieses Trio hat mich bei genauerem hinsehen sehr an die drei ersten Farben auf der linken Seite der Comfort Zone Palette von Wet n Wild erinnert. 

This trio reminded me a lot of the first eyeshadows from the Comfort Zone palette which is why I made a little comparison.

Die vermeintlichen Dupes nebeneinander geswatched (jeweils links Comfort Zone und recht Walking on Eggshells) sieht man jedoch, dass es nur ähnliche Farben, jedoch keine 1:1 Dupes sind. Der hellste Ton ist in der Comfort Zone Palette gelbgold und hat die wohl schlechteste Textur in der ganzen Palette. Die hellste Farbe aus dem Trio ist eher weißlich und hat eine ganz tolle Textur. Die dritte Farbe aus der Comfort Zone Palette und die zweite aus dem Trio sind sich schon sehr ähnlich. Die erste Farbe ist jedoch ein bisschen dunkler. Bei der zweiten Farbe aus der großen Palette und der dritten Farbe aus dem Trio sieht man wieder einen deutlichen Unterschied.  Erstere ist ein heller Bronzeton wohingegen die Farbe aus dem Trio eher ein peachiger Rosaton ist.

I swatched the similar looking shades from both palettes (left Comfort Zone and right Walking on Eggshells) next to each other. The first color from the Comfort Zone palette is a lot more golden than the almost white color from the trio. Concerning this first color I also prefer the texture and pigmentation from the trio which is a lot nicer. Next comes the third color from the Comfort Zone palette followed by the second color from the trio. These shades look a lot alike. The main difference being that the first shade is slightly darker. Last I compared the second shade from the big palette with the last shade from the trio. The eyeshadow from the Comfort Zone palette is a lot more bronzy whereas the other shade is more of a peachy pink shade. So even though they look a lot a like they are actually quite different. 

Das Trio Silent Treatment enthält etwas kühlere Töne. Ein mauviges Taupe, ein dunkles Braun mit goldenem Schimmer und ein heller Rosaton, der mich sehr an Jest von MAC erinnert. Auch hier ist die Pigmentierung sehr hoch und die Lidschatten sind buttrig und lassen sich toll verarbeiten. Bei den Lidschatten gibt es Fallout, aber bei dem günstigen Preis und den anderen guten Eigenschaften dieses Trios kann ich damit ganz gut leben. 

The trio Silent Treatment is more on the cool side. There is a mauvy taupe, a dark brown with gold shimmer and a light pink which looks a lot like Jest from MAC. They all have a wonderful pigmentation and are really soft and easy to apply. There is some fallout but I can live with that.

Spin Pin statt Bobby Pin

Spin Pins sind kleine praktische Helfer, die es einem ermöglichen super schnell eine Hochsteckfrisur zu fixieren. Nachdem man die Haare so zusammengedreht hat, wie man sie gerne haben möchte, dreht man diese Spin Pins (daher auch der Name) einfach in die Haare. Je nach Haarlänge und Typ benötigt man nur einen oder eben ein paar dieser kleinen Spin Pins. Einmal komplett ins Haar gedreht sind die Spin Pins eigentlich nicht mehr sichtbar. Auch das herausdrehen ist unkompliziert und schmerzfrei. Angeblich sollen die Spin Pins 20 Bobby Pins ersetzen. Ich habe meine Spin Pins bei ebay.com bestellt und ca. $1.99 inkl. Porto gezahlt.

You can easily create an updo with these little spin pins. All you have to do is twist your hair up and then screw these little spin pins into your bun. Once they are in your hair they are basically invisible. Depending on your type of hair you may need one or more spin pins to keep your hair in place. One spin pin is suppost to replace 20 bobby pins. I got mine from ebay.com and payed $1.99 including shipping.

OPI Best of the Best

Ich hoffe ihr habt alle das Jahr 2012 gut gestartet? 

Ich möchte euch heute mal kurz das OPI Best of the Best Set vorstellen. Enthalten sind 10 Bestseller OPI Nagellacke in der Miniversion á 3,75 ml. Es ist ein tolles Set um die Marke OPI kennenzulernen oder einfach um ein paar beliebte Nagellackfarben zu testen. Bei Douglas ist das Set für 39,95€ erhältlich. Ich habe das Set über Ebay.com für umgerechnet ca. 19€ inkl. Porto aus den USA erstanden. Knapp 40€ finde ich auch einfach zu teuer, wenn man bedenkt wie klein die Minifläschchen sind.

Zwei der Farben besitze ich schon in der vollen Größe (Tickle My France-y und You Don't Know Jacques!) Lincoln Park After Dark habe ich bereits als Mini-Version. Da mich jedoch die anderen Farben alle brennend interessiert haben, hat sich das Set für mich dennoch gelohnt. I'm Not Really A Waitress habe ich bereits an Weihnachten getragen. Ein tolles dunkles, schimmerndes Rot.

I already own Tickle My France-Y and You Don't Know Jacques! in fullsize and I have a minisize of the Lincoln Park After Dark. But since I really wanted to try the other colors in this set it still made sense for me to get it. I already wore I'm Not Really A Waitress for Christmas and it is a really beautiful deep shimmery red color.
