Tarte Achiote Collection

Das Tarte Achiote Set war dieses Frühjahr / Sommer ein limitiertes Set von Tarte. Im Set waren drei Produkte in Originalgröße erhalten: Einen Amazonian Clay Blush ($25), einen Lipsurgence ($24) und ein Maracuja devine shine lip gloss ($21). Da man für das Set nur $42 statt dem Gesamtpreis der Einzelprodukte von $70 zahlt, macht man hier ein ganz gutes Geschäft. Achiote bzw. auf deutsch auch Annattostrauch, Orleansstrauch oder Rukustrauch genannt ist ein Strauch ist ein Strauch der in Südamerika wächst. Die Samen seiner Früchte kommen zum Färben von Textilien, als Tinte, aber auch zur Körperbemalung von Einheimischen zum Einsatz. Der Spitzname des Strauches lautet auch Lippenstift-Baum. Tarte hat den Farbstoff der Samen dieses Strauches in den Produkten der Achiote Kollektion verwendet. 

For $42 you receive a three fullsized Tarte products: Amazonian Clay Blush, Lipsurgence and a Maracuja devine shine lip gloss. The total price of all the products bought individually would habe been $70 thus the set is a pretty good deal. Achiote is known as mother nature’s lipstick tree.  It’s a tree found in South America which produces a vibrant pink fruit.  The pure pigment obtained from the seeds of that fruit is what Tarte infused into these products.

Da ich ohnehin ein ganz großer Fan der Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes bin und ich die Blush Farbe, die es nicht einzeln zu kaufen gab, so toll fand, musste gleich das ganze Set bei mir einziehen. Ich habe es nicht bereut, denn auch die Lippenprodukte sind sehr schön und angenehm zu tragen. Der Lipsurgence natural lip luster erinnert etwas an die Clinique Cubby Sticks, jedoch mit leichter Minznote. Der Gloss funktioniert mit einem Klickmechanismus. Er hat ebenfalls eine leichte Minznote. Maracuj-Öl soll die Lippen pflegen.

Since I am a huge fan of the Amazonian Clay Blushes and the color Achiote, which was only available in this set, looked so pretty, I had to have the set. I don't regret the purchase. This was I got to try two other products from Tarte. Their lipsurgence lip luster reminds me a little of the Clinique Cubby Sticks with a slight mint flavour. The lipgloss which works with a click mechanism also has a mint flavour and maracuja oil is suppost to nourish your lips. I like the texture and the look of the lip products.

Smoked Urban Decay

Seit langem finde ich heute mal wieder die Zeit zum Bloggen. Diese möchte ich nutzen um euch ein paar Bilder von der neuen Urban Decay Lidschatten Palette in "Smoked" zu zeigen. Enthalten sind 10 Lidschatten (4 Matte und 6 Schimmernde) á 0,85 g. Zum Vergleich die Naked Paletten enthalten 12 Lidschatten á 1,3 g.  Obwohl die Pfännchen in der Smoked Palette eher größer wirken als die der Naked Palette, ist hier weniger Lidschatten enthalten. Preislich geben sich die Paletten nichts, die Naked Paletten kosten $50, die Smoked Palette kostet $49. Die Smoked Palette enthält noch einen 24/7 Glide on eye pencil in der Farbe Perversion, eine Mini-Primer Potion sowie ein kleines Booklet mit Anleitungen für verschiedene Looks. 

Long time no blogging. :/ Now I finally found some time to blog and I decided to show you Urban Decay's new eyeshadow palette in "Smoked". It contains 10 eyeshadows ( 4 mat eyeshadows and 6 shimmery ones) á 0.03 oz. For comparison the Naked palettes contain 12 eyeshadows á 0.05 oz. Even though the eyeshadows pans in the smoked palette look bigger than in the Naked palettes they contain less product. The price is about the same. You can purchase the Naked palettes for $50 and the smoked palette für $49. The smoked palette also contains a fullsize 24/7 Glide on eye pencil in the color Perversion, a sample sized Primer Potion and a "How to get the Look" Booklet. 

Die Smoked Palette ist in einem kleinen schwarzen Case, welches man mit einem Reißverschluss schließen kann. In der Palette ist noch ein Spiegel.

The packaging of the Smoked Palette is a soft zip-up layer encasing a cardboard insert. 

Bis auf "Blackout" der tief schwarze Lidschatten, gibt es keine Überschneidungen mit den beiden Naked Paletten. Dennoch existiert aus meiner Sicht eine starke Ähnlichkeit zwischen der Smoked Palette und den Naked Paletten. Mit dem einzigen Unterschied, dass die Smoked Palette noch durch die Farben Rockstar (Violet / Aubergine) , Evidence (Blau) und Loaded (Grün) bereichert wurde. Die anderen Farben aus der Smoked Palette hätte man auch gut in eine Naked Palette gepasst. Da ich ein großer Fan der Naked Paletten bin, ist das für mich kein Nachteil. Ich liebe neutrale Farben, weil diese einfach am Vielfältigsten genutzt werden können und dementsprechend oft zum Einsatz kommen. Dennoch hat man mit der Smoked Palette die Möglichkeit ein bisschen Farbe in das AMU zu bringen. Toll finde ich, dass insbesondere die helleren Farben Kinky und Freestyle, die man toll zum Ausblenden verwenden kann, matt sind. Für mich ist die Palette definitiv gelungen und schon regelmäßig im Einsatz. Etwas schade finde ich es, dass Urban Decay hier einen ebenso stolzen Preis wie bei den Naked Paletten verlangt, dann aber weniger Inhalt bietet.

"Blockout" a deep black is the only color you can find in both the smoked palette and one of the Naked palettes. However out of the 10 eyeshadows 7 could easily be put in a Naked palette as well. The main difference are the three shades at the middle of the bottom row: Rockstar (Aubergine-colored), Evidence (Blue) and Loaded (Green). Since I am a huge can of neutral eyeshadows because they are the most versatile and thus the most in use I enjoy that the Smoked palette contains so many neutral shades. Because of the three actual "colors" you have a bit more variety. I also really enjoy that the light colors Kinky and Freestyle which are perfect for blending are mat shades. I get a lot of use out of the palette. I however find it a bit disapointing that Urban Decay charges the price of a Naked palette but provides less content in smoked palette.

Bourjois Blushes

Bourjois ist eine französische Kosmetikmarke, die es bereits seit 1863 gibt. Bekannt ist die Marke ursprünglich für ihre gebackenen Produkte.  In den letzten Jahren sind (meiner Meinung nach zurecht) vor allem die Foundations Bourjois Healty Mix sowie das Serum sehr bekannt und beliebt geworden.  Einige werden es sicherlich wissen,- andere aber vielleicht noch nicht. Bourjouis ist im mehrheitlichen Besitz von der Kosmetiklinie von Chanel. Die Produkte sollen darüber hinaus im selben Werk produziert werden. Es gibt daher sehr viele Mutmaßungen, dass die Produkte einander entsprechen, oder zumindest sehr große Ähnlichkeiten aufweisen.

Mittlerweile habe sich aber auch schon 3 gebackene Bourjois Blushes in meiner Sammlung zusammengefunden. 

Bourjois is a french cosmetic brand which was founded in 1863. The brand was originally known for their baked products. By now their Foundations are widely known and popular (Foundations Bourjois Healty Mix sowie das Serum). Some may already know that Bourjois owns the majority of the cosmetic line of Chanel. Their products are suppost to be produced in the same site. Thus there are many comparisons between their products.

By now I have three of their baked blushes. 

Rose D'or (34), Cendre de rose Brune (48) und Rose Frisson (54).

Immer dabei ist ein kleiner halbrunder Pinsel, der zur Not seinen Zweck erfüllt, jedoch nicht wirklich meine erste Wahl zum Auftragen des Blushes ist.

Every blush comes with a round blush which serves its purpose but wouldn't be my first choice for applying the blush.

Rose D'or ist ein pinker Blush mit goldenem Schimmer. Er erinnert etwas an Nars Orgasm. Der Schimmer ist auf den Wangen nicht so offensichtlich, gibt aber einen schönen Glow. 

Cendre de rose Brune ist ein matter Blush in einem eher kühlen Pink. Dieser Blush hat eine sehr hohe Pigmentierung und man muss aufpassen nicht zuviel zu erwischen.

Rose Frisson hat eher ein Satinfinish. Die Ausgangsfarbe ist ähnlich der von Rose D'or. Ein fast peachiges Pin. Obwohl Rose Frisson eine kaum außergewöhnliche Farbe ist und zudem im Vergleich zu den anderen beiden Bourjois Blushes relativ sheer ist,- verleiht der Blush mir die meiste Frische. Ich möchte ihn nicht mehr missen.

Rose Frisson habe ich nun schon am längsten. Nach einer Zeit ist die Abgabe vom Produkt auf den Pinsel sehr gering. Die Öle der Haut,- (ja, sehr lecker, ist aber nun mal so) versiegeln irgendwann die Oberfläche des Produktes. Wenn man jedoch mit einem Messer oder ähnlichem (VORSICHT, bitte nicht verletzen) darüber schabt, ist der Blush wieder wie neu.

Rose D'or is a pink blush with gold shimmer. It kind of reminds me of Nars Orgasm. The shimmer is not as obvious once it is applied to the cheeks but it does give you a nice glow.

Cendre de rose brune has a matt finish. It is a rather cool toned pink with a great pigmentation. You have to be careful not to apply too much product. 

Rose Frisson has more of a satin finish. It has a similar color to Rose D'Or a kind of peachy pink. It is not the most extraordinary color but it does give me the most amazing result. It makes me look very fresh and awake. Allthough I like all my Bourjois blushes I defintely wouldn't want to be without this particular one.

This is also the blush out of the three I have had to longest. The only downsite to these blushes is that after using them for a while the oils of your face (yeah I know yucky- but that's how it is) seal the top of the product. So you once in a while have to scrape the top and it's like new again.

Alnatura Rosen Lassi

Ich habe heute bei Alnatura einen Joghurt-Drink mit Rosengeschmack entdeckt und den musste ich dann auch gleich mal testen. Er schmeckt tatsächlich nach Rosen. Eine leckere Alternative zu den "Standard-Geschmacksrichtungen". Lecker ist auch der Chai Lassi von Alnatura.

I found this joghurtdrink with rose flavor today and had to give it a try. I actually does taste like roses. I think it is a nice alternative to all the standard flavors you usually find. I also like their joghurt drink with Chai flavor. :)

MAC Digit Eyeshadow und Tarnish Eye Kohl

Zwei Kandidaten, die schon lange auf meiner Wunschliste standen...

Vor Jahren hat Tiffany D von dem Lidschatten Digit von MAC geschwärmt. Ich meine damals war er nicht im Standardsortiment. Als ich den Lidschatten dann neulich bei Douglas entdeckt habe, musste er mit. Es ist ein super heller Fliederton. 

These two MAC products have been on my wishlist for a very long time. I first heard Tiffany D rave about the eyeshadow Digit ages ago. I believe it was not in the standard range at this time. But when I recently saw the eyeshadow at Douglas I had to have it.

Ohne Base ist der Lidschatten etwas schwach Pigmentiert. Mit Base, ist der jedoch perfekt. :)

Without a base the pigmentation is rather weak. But with a base it turns out the perfect pastel lilac.

Ein weiterer Wunschlistenkandidat ist der Eye Kohl von MAC in der Farbe Tarnish. Ein fast schwarzer Grünton. Der Eye Kohl ist sehr cremig. Die Farbe ist ein Traum und trifft genau meinen Geschmack. :)

The eye kohl in the color Tarnish has been on my wishlist for quite a while as well. It is an almost black green which is just the perfect eye kohl color to me. It is really creamy and easy to smudge.

Bourjois Heatly Mix Serum

Meine absolute Lieblingsfoundation diesen Sommer ist das Bourjois Healty Mix Serum. Seit einiger Zeit bin ich schon eine treue Anhängerin von der Bourjois Healty Mix Foundation. Diese habe ich immer über Asos bezogen. Nachdem die Foundation hier lange Zeit nicht mehr im Sortiment war, wurde ich schon leicht nervös und habe mich nach alternativen Bezugsquellen umgesehen. Bei Ebay habe ich dann nur das Healty Mix Serum gefunden. Also habe ich mir gedacht,- wieso nicht, gebe ich dem Serum eben mal eine Chance. Diese Entscheidung habe ich nicht bereut. Das Serum ist ein bisschen leichter von der Textur und etwas weniger deckend als die Foundation. Für mich das perfekte Gegenstück der Healty Mix Foundation für den Sommer.

Kurz darauf habe ich das Serum übrigens auch bei Asos gesichtet mit dem passenden Puder und dem passenden Concealer. Bei diesem Anblick konnte ich nicht widerstehen und habe mir das Puder und den Concealer ebenfalls zum Testen bestellt.


By far my favorite foundation this summer was the Bourjois Healty Mix Serum. I have already been a huge fan of the Healty Mix foundation. Which I used to order from Asos. I have not seen the Healty Mix Foundation at Asos for a while thus I started to look for other shops were I could buy this foundation since it is not sold in Germany. I only found the Healty Mix Serum from Bourjois on Ebay. I thought whatever give this one a try...and I didn't regret this decision. It is the perfect counterpart to the foundation just for the summer time. The serum has a lighter texture and a little less coverage compared to the foundation. I really enjoy it during the summer. 


Not long ago I found the Serum with the matching powder and concealer on Asos. No surprise I had to get the powder and concealer as well to give those a try.

ANNY -It's just love

Mein erste ANNY Nagellack ist bei mir eingezogen. Ich war auf der Suche nach einem büro- / arbeitstauglichem roten Nagellack. Ohne Schimmer, nicht zu knallig, nicht zu vampig. Gefunden habe ich den Nagellack bei ANNY in der Farbe "It's just love" und genau der Name trifft es auch sehr gut. Der Nagellack ist für mich wirklich das perfekte Rot. Der Lack deckt in nur einer Schicht und trocknet recht schnell. 

I recently purchased my first ANNY nailpolish. I was looking for the perfect work-/ office appropriate red nailpolish. No shimmer, not to bright, not to vampy. I found it in ANNY's nail polish in the color "It's just love". Which indeed it is. I just need one coat and it dries pretty quit as well!
