Starry Night - Go Green

Eigentlich hat mich der Trend von Gebackenen Make-up Produkte bisher relativ kalt gelassen. Die Produkte sind im Gegensatz zu nicht gebackenen Produkten meist überdurchschnittlich schimmernd und glitzern und das ist nicht so mein Fall. Das bezieht sich sowohl auf den Drogeriebereich als auch auf Highend Produkte z.B. MAC. Seit kurzem hat es mich jedoch erwischt und ich bin über das ein oder andere gebackene Produkte gestolpert, das es mir total angetan hat! So zum Beispiel auch diese Produkte von 2nd Love. Ich bin zufällig bei Brigette's Boutique über diese mir bisher unbekannte Marke gestolpert. Die gebackenen Lidschatten, Blushes und Bronzer sehen auf den Fotos im Internet-Shop toll aus, also habe ich etwas recherchiert. Die Produkte scheinen nicht sonderlich bekannt zu sein. Nur bei Temptalia habe ich Swatches gefunden, die mehr als einladend waren. Sie hat alle gebackenen Produkte der Markte 2nd Love geswatched, d.h. die Lidschatten-Duos, die Blushes und die Bronzer . Temptalia hat auch erwähnt, dass die Produkte nicht glitzern wie viele gebackene Produkte sondern eher schimmern und damit war ich überzeugt. Das tolle ist, dass die Produkte bei Brigette's Boutique auch noch etwas günstiger zu haben sind, als ihr normaler Preis.

Ich habe mich zunächst einmal für 2 Lidschatten-Duos entschieden in Starry Night und in Go Green. Ich habe ich sofort in beide verliebt, als sie angekommen sind. Sie lassen sich sowohl trocken als auch nass auftragen und sie sind super pigmentiert. Die Farben sind super intensiv und treffen genau meinen Geschmack. Seht euch einfach selbst die Bilder an :)

So far I was not really into the hype of baked beauty products. Regardless of the brand baked beauty products are usually a lot more shimmery and glittery than non-baked eyeshadows and I don't really like that. But lately I found a couple of baked product that I really enjoy. One of them is from 2nd Love a brand I randomly found at Brigette's Boutique. They have baked eyeshadow-duos, blushes and bronzers. I loved the pictures in the online-shop. I did some research but didn't really find anything about this brand except at Temptalia who swatched the duo-eyeshadows, blushes and bronzers. Theses swatches totally convinced me to try the products myself. Luckily the products are a little less expensive at Brigette's Boutique than they regularly are.

Beccy's Most Wanted Brush

Der heiß begehrte Foundation Buffer aus Beccy's Shop ist eine günstige aber qualitativ gleichwertige Alternative zum Flat Top Synthetik Kabuki von Sigma und nun auch endlich bei mir eingezogen. :) Für 9,95€ kann man da wirklich nicht viel falsch machen. Der Pinsel ist super soft und schön dicht gebunden. Der Flat Top Synthetik Kabuki besitze ich zwar nicht von Sigma aber den Angled Top Synthetik Kabuki und daher kann ich sagen, dass die Qualität auf jeden Fall gleichwertig ist! Ein tolles Produkt, das dem Hype gerecht wird.

In Beccy's Shop you can fand a great "dupe" for Sigma's Flat Top Synthetik Kabuki. It is for those living in Germany a less expensive alternative to Sigma. They quality is the same. I don't own the Flat Top Synthetik Kabuki from Sigma but the Angled Top Synthetik Kabuki and thus I can say that they have the same quality. They are both extremly soft and dense :) Love it!

Too Faced Pink Leopard Dupe?

Ich war neulich bei Woolworth ( ein seltenes Ereignis) und habe mich mal in der Kosmetikecke etwas umgesehen. Neben dem Burt's Bees Lippenpflegestift Dupeversuch, habe ich noch einen anderen potentiellen Dupe-Kandidaten entdeckt.

Es handelt sich um den Too Faced Bronzer Pink Leopard ($28), dessen prägnantestes Merkmal der Leoparden-Print ist. Ein ganz ähnliches Exemplar gab es auch von Basic Concept bei Woolworth für ca- 3-4€. Das Pink und das dunkle Braun sind auch nebeneinander sehr ähnlich. Die Grundfarbe ist jedoch verschieden. Beim Too Faced Bronzer ist ist Ausgangsfarbe ein Bronzeton. Beim Basic Concept ist es eher ein Beigeton. Das Ergebnis steht ihr selbst...

I lately went to Woolworth (were I almost never go) and I was looking around in the cosmetic section (where else would I look ;) ). I found next to a Burt's Bees looking lip balm a bronzer that looked just like the Too Faced Pink Leopard Bronzer but a lot cheaper for only 3-4€. I had to get it and I swatched them side by side. The bown and pink is pretty similar in both bronzers but the base color is different. The base color in the Too Faced Bronzer is a bronze color whereas the Basic Concept Bronzer has more of a beige base color. But look for yourself...

Yves Rocher -Der Sommer kann kommen...

Nachdem ich bei Beauty Addicted gelesen hatte, dass es das berühmte Monoi de Tahiti jetzt auch als Spray gibt und zu dem an mir vorbei gegangen ist, dass es davon auch ein Duschgel gibt, habe ich meinen Geburtstags-Gutschein von Yves Rocher gleich sinnvoll investiert. Das Öl (Bold ganz links) hatte ich noch vom letzten Jahr. Ich habe mich für das Sonnen-Öl Spray entschieden und nicht das Parfum ähnliche Spray. Das Mini-Duschgel gab es gratis zum Einkauf dazu, ebenso wie eine Strandtasche (noch vom Muttertags-Gutschein). Der Duft von den Monoi de Tahiti Produkten ist einfach der Hammer. Kann ich jedem nur empfehlen!

After I read at Beauty Addicted that Yves Rocher now also carries a Body Spray of their famous Monoi de Tahiti oil I had to try that. I also never really realized that they have a matching shower gel :) I still had the oil (all the way left in the picture) from last year and now I can enjoy the Spray and the shower gel as well. The scent of these products is just stunning! I love it. Everybody who has the chance should try it!

Smashbox

Smashbox wurde 1996 von zwei Brüdern Dean und Davis Factor in den USA gegründet. Ursprünglich hatten die Brüder ein Foto-Studio. Durch diverse anfragen nach Foto-Shooting tauglichem Make-Up kam dann die Idee der eigenen Kosmetikmarke. Die Marke wird seit kurzem auch bei uns über QVC verkauft. Sie zählt eher zur High-end Kosmetik. Das wohl bekannteste Produkt von Smashbox ist ihr Photo Finish Foundation Primer (den seht ihr rechts oben im Foto als Probegröße). Mein Lieblingsprodukt von Smashbox sind eindeutig die Blushes dicht gefolgt von den Lipglossen. :)

Smashbox was founded in 1996 in the US from the brothers Dean and Davis Factor. They originally owned a photo-studio but after several inquires to come up with make-up for professional photo-shooting they founded the Smashbox cosmetic brand. They are more towards the High-End side. Their most famous product is prbably their Photo Finish Foundation Primer. My favorite products from them are their blushes and their lipglosses.

Hier sehr ihr meine Smashbox Blushes. Ganz links oben ist ein Blush, der in der Mother of Earth Palette dabei war. Ein tolles Peach. Daneben ist eine Cheek Palette namens Close-Up. Leider stehen darauf nicht die Namen der einzelnen Farben. Lustigerweise ähneln sie aber relativ stark den einzelnen Blushes, die ich von Smashbox habe. In der unteren Reihe seht ihr zuerst das Soft Lights Blush Duo in Haute/Couture, daneben dann die Blushes Proof Sheet, Aperature und Smashing Snap. In den Einzelnen Blushes sind jeweils 3,8g enthalten, Kostenpunkt $24. Die Blushes sind alle matt oder Satin Finish bis auf das Duo, das ist frost bzw. schimmernd. Die Blushes haben eine tolle Pigmentierung und halten den ganzen Tag! Eine meiner absoluten Lieblingsblushes :)

Here are my blushes by Smashbox. The first one is the one from the Mother of Earth palette it's a really nice Peach. Next to it is a Blush Palette called Close-Up. I don't know the names of the blushes in this palette. But they look a lot like the single blushes I have from Smashbox ;)

Next comes the Soft Lights Blush Duo in Haute/Couture. They the single blushes in Proof sheet, Aperature and Smashing Snap. The single ones are 3.8g and cost $24. All blushes are matte or satin finish unless the Duo which has frost / shimmer. The blushes have a great pigmentation and last all they. They are one of my favorite blushes all time.

An Lippenprodukten habe ich 4 Lipliner und einen Lipgloss. Die Lipliner sind gut, aber es gibt sicherlich vergleichbar gute von anderen Marken. Den Lipgloss finde ich da schon eher erwähnenswert. Er hatte eine tolle Textur und hält recht lange. Die Farbe Protege ähnelt übrigens ein bisschen dem Viva Glam V Gloss.

I own 4 of their lipliners they are good but there or other brands with a similar quality. I much rather talk about their lipgloss because they are really good! They feel good on the lips and last pretty well. I won the color Protege which looks a little like Viva Glam V Gloss.

Smashing Outline, Smashing Define, Cafe Latte, Smashing Muse und den Lip Enhancing Gloss in Protege

An Augenprodukten besitze ich zwei Lidschattenpaletten die bereits erwähnte Mother of Earth Palette sowie die MUSE Artist Eye Palette. Die Qualität ist sehr unterschiedliche. Die Lidschatten in der Muse Palette sind super weich und sehr gut pigmentiert, leider bröseln sie etwas. Die Lidschatten in der Mother of Earth Palette bröseln nicht, sind dafür aber auch nicht so schön weich und die Farbabgabe ist Mittel. Die einzelnen Lidschatten von Smashbox sind quasi ein Mittelding. Nicht zu weich, nicht zu hart, gut pigmentiert und sie krümelt nicht. Ich habe nur eine Farbe davon (Enchanted), da ich jedoch schon so eine ähnliche Farbe habe, verkaufe ich diese. Außerdem besitze ich noch die Eye Liner Palette, ein Eye Illusion Trio und einen Cream Eyeshadow Liner in der Farbe Fan Club, den ich euch auch schon mal hier vorgestellt hatte.

I own two eyeshadow Palettes the Mother of Earth Palette and the MUSE Artist Eye Palette. Their qulity is rather different. The shadows in the MUSE Palette are super soft and pigmented but they also crumble. The Mother of Earth eyeshadows are not as soft only moderately pigmented but they don't crumble. Their single eye shadows are a whole nother story. They are right in the middle not too soft and not too hard, they don't crumble and they are decently pigmented. I only own one of them (Enchanted) but since I already have a similar shadow in that color I'm going to sell that one. Other than that I own a Liner Palette, a cream shadow liner and a trio in eye illusion.

Ähnlich dem Eye Transformer von Elf. Kann man einzeln oder über anderen Lidschatten verwenden um die Farbe zu verändern.

It's a lot like the Eye Transformer from Elf. You can use it by itself or on top of other shadows to change their color.

Swatches Liner, Shadow Liners:

Die Idee mit der kleinen Visitenkarten großen Palette ist toll, leider sind die Liner nicht so der Hit. Wohingegen der Shadow Liner in der Farbe Fan Club zu meinen Favoriten gehört!

I like the idea of the small creditcard sized Palette with cream eyeliners in it. But the liners are really not that great. I much more love the Cream Shadow Liner in Fan Club!

Außerdem besitze ich das Augenbrauenpuder und eine Probe vom Primer. Ich mag das Augenbrauenpuder gerne, finde es jedoch für die kleine Menge zu teuer. Ich bin kein großer Primer-Fan und benutze sie nur ganz selten, weil ich das Silikon-Gefühl nicht so gerne mag, daher kann ich dazu nicht soviel sagen.

I also own the brow powder which I already showed you guys here. I like it a lot but I think it is too pricy for the small amout of product you get. I can't really say too much about the Primer sample I have. I am not so much into Primers because I don't like the silicon feeling of them.

Barry M Natural Dazzle

Mein Lieblingsbronzer. Der Barry M Natural Dazzle

Es gibt ihn in zwei Ausführungen als loses Puder oder als Kompaktpuder. Ich bevorzuge die Kompaktpuderversion (man sieht es ihm leider auch an). Sie unterscheiden sich komischerweise auch leicht in der Farbe.

It comes as a compact or as loose powder. You can tell, that I prefer the compact. They also have a slightly different color (for whatever reason)

Jetzt wird es kompliziert. Ursprünglich hatte ich nur den Bronzer einmal gepresste Version (5. Swatch) einmal loose Version (6. Swatch) geswatched. Da mich dieser Bronzer schon immer etwas an den Benefit Blush in Dallas erinnert hat, habe ich das mal dazu geswatched (1. Swatch). Der Barry M Bronzer ist aber ein Tick bräunlicher als Dallas. Also habe ich daneben Hoola von Benefit (2. Swatch) geswatched. Weil der Barry M Bronzer wenn man ihn zu dick swatched d.h. in diesem Fall einen Brocken Puder verreibt, anders wirkt, nämlich wesentlich dunkler (das ist der Fall beim 5. Swatch), habe ich neben Hoola (2. Swatch) noch einmal das Barry M gepresste Puder "dünner" geswatched (3. Swatch). Danach habe ich dann Dallas mit Hoola gemischt geswatched (4. Swatch). *Haha* Sind alle mitgekommen?

Wie man sieht trifft die Mischung Dallas+Hoola nicht ganz das Ergebnis vom Barry M. Ich denke man müsste Dallas mit einem anderen Braunton mischen. Hoola ist zu ocker. Oder man kauft einfach direkt den Barry M Bronzer er ist nämlich einfach super :)

Er hat keinen Schimmer aber trotzdem einen Glow (ganz schwer zu beschreiben). Ich benutze ihn quasi täglich zum konturieren. Er ist super super fest gepresst und wird (wenn er einem nicht gerade runterfällt und dabei kaputt geht ) ewig halten. Die Verpackung ist übrigend exakt wie bei Narsprodukten gummiert.

Hier nochmal übersichtlicher:

Dallas, Hoola, Barry M Compact (dünn), Dallas+Hoola, Barry M Compact (dick), Barry M Looses Puder

Now this complicated. First I only swatched the Barry M Compact (5th Swatch) and the loose powder (6. Swatch). Since I always thought the Barry M Bronzer looked a little like Benefits Dallas I swatched that (1st Swatch). But the Bronzer is slightly more brown than Dallas, so I also swatched Hoola (2nd Swatch). Because I used a huge chunk of Barry M Compact when I did the 5th Swatch it looks a lot darker than it usually is. Thanks why I swatched it again this time I used my finger and applied it thinner (3rd Swatch). Then I swatched a mix of Dallas and Hoola next to it (4th Swatch). *Haha* Did everybody follow me sofar?!

Well the Dallas Hoola combination does not look like the Barry M Bronzer. Hoola is too ocher you would have to use a different shade of brown / bronzer to mix Dallas to get the Barry M Bronzer. Or just get the Barry M Bronzer right away because it is awesome :)

The Bronzer doesn't have shimmer but it glows anyway (it's hard to discribe the finish, I'd say it is the most like satin) It is super tightly pressed. And unless you break it, like I did, it will probably last you forever! I use it to contour almost everyday. It has the same packaging like Nars products.
