Neutrogena Healty Skin Liquid Makeup

In 12 Farben erhätlich.

Also was steckt hinter dieser "Wunderfoundation"?

Pro:

I think that reviews about foundations are always a lot more subjective than about any other makeup product. Just because every skin has different needs when it comes to foundation. To make it easier for you to judge whether this foundation could work for you as well I want to start by giving you some informations about my skintype. I have very dry skin in winter and normal to combination skin in summer. I have rather clean skin so I am usually fine with a light coverage. I have sensitive skin which means I can't handle every foundation, some break me out. So my biggest concern when it comes to foundation is that it does not beak me out and that it does not dry out my skin. Especially in winter most foundations emphasize dry patches of skin on my face and make them dry out even more. I have found a foundation that works really good for me. It is for normal to dry skin and has a lot of moisture in it. Annayake (Fond de teint fluide PS) Foundation has a light coverage and looks very natural, lasts a good amount of time and just gives my skin a healty look. It is one of those rarely found foundations that actually feel like you do your skin something good when you apply the foundation. The downside: It is only available at Douglas (The german equivalent to Sephora) and really expensive (45€ which is about $58). That's why I was looking for a cheaper alternative with similar quality. being a dupe for the nars sheer glow. Since the Neutogena Almost the whole online-beauty-community was raving about the nars sheer glow for the past time. I really wanted to try it but since it is not avaiable in Germany I would have had to order it "blind" online. Since the Nars Sheer Glow isn't all that cheap itself I decided to not take that risk. After a while I heard some beauty gurus talk about the Neutrogena Healty skin Liquid MakeupHealty skin Liquid Makeup is only about $13 and a lot cheaper than the Nars one ($42) I thought let's give that one a try. If even people who seemed to love the Nars Sheer Glow all of a sudden had to admit, that the Neutrogena one has a similar quality, there had to be something about this foundation. Since the Neutrogena makeup is not available in Germany I ordered mine from Ebay. Of course the first color choice was a bit off (too light but I think it's a good color for winter). The second try was a perfect match. Neutrogena claims: Takes over where your skin care leaves off. Silky-light coverage glides on for a perfectly natural look, while the exclusive blend of antioxidants plus SPF 20 work together to visibly improve skin's luminosity , tone and texture. Maintains skin's young and healty look... What it really does:

Pro: The foundation did not dry out my skin. It leaves it feelins moisturized. (The real test is only possible in winter when my skin is even more dry than it is now) The consistency is very liquid. It is easy to blend and I don't have to work a lot with it to get a good result. The Finish is not matt but also not too dewy (something in between) it looks very natural and it does not have any shimmer particles in it like the Revlon Photo Finish has. The foundation has a medium coverage. It is very light weight which is nice because you don't even feel that you are wearing a foundation. When I apply the foundation in the morning and set it with powder it lasts pretty much all day. It has a SPF of 20.

Contra: This foundation has a scrw top and no pump. This is really annoying because you always end up with way more product than you need. I don't really like the smell of this foundation. Good thing you only smell it while you apply it. I can't even describe the scent. There is only a small range of colors. It is not avaiable everywhere that's why I had to order it online.

Summary: It is definite a great alternative to the expensive foundation I was wearing so far with a similar quaility. I wouldn't go so far to say that this foundation improved my skin, but even with everyday use it does not change my skin for the worse. I don't know if people with oily skin can wear it but if you have dry or normal / combination skin you should give this foundation a try!
