Orly Gilded Coral

Gilded Coral ist aus der Orly Spring Kollektion 2011. Es ist eine wirklich interessante Farbe. Ein schöner Peachton, der im Licht Gold schimmert. Meine erste Assoziation war, dass dieser Nagellack in enger Verwandschaft zu Benefits Creaseless Cream in Sippin 'n Dippin' und dem Blush Rosegold von Sleek bzw. TheBalms Hot Mama steht. Wobei die Farbähnlichkeit zu dem Benefitprodukt wirklich enorm ist. Eine sehr schöne Farbe für den Sommer wie ich finde. Ich hatte zunächst befürchtet, dass die Farbe sheer sein würde und mind. 3 Schichten benötigt. Aber damit lag ich falsch. Eine Schicht war schon überraschend deckend und mit zwei Schichten ist das Ergebnis perfekt. Der Auftrag ist wie immer toll bei Orly und auch die Trockenzeit ist angemessen.

Gilded Coral is a nail polish from Orly's spring 2011 collection. It is a peach colored polish with a gold shimmer. When I first saw it I immediately had to think of Benefits creaseless cream in Sippin n Dippin as well as Sleeks blush in rosegold or TheBalms Hot Mama Blush. That's exactly the color family this nail polish belongs to. It is a lovely color for summer time! I expected it to be a rather sheer polish but it is not. One coat has already pretty well and a second coat made it perfect. It is easy to apply and dries reasonably fast.

Ich kann mir den Vergleich zum OPI Mini nicht verkneifen. Im OPI Mini "Mini" sind gerade mal lächerliche 3,75ml drin. Bei der Review, wo ich mein erstes OPI Mini-Set vorgestellt habe, hatte ich schon angemerkt, dass ich 5ml schon etwas angebrachter gefunden hätte. Daher bin ich froh, dass Orly da nicht ganz so knauserig ist, hier sind nämlich 5,3 ml enthalten. :)

I have to mad the comparison. OPI mini vs. Orly Mini. When I got my first OPI Mini polishes I already mentioned how ridiculous the size of 3,75 ml is and that they at least could have made it 5ml. Thus I am happy to say that the Orly Minis contain 5,3 ml :)

Update: Jemma Kidd Glitterati

Nachdem die Glitteratis von Jemma Kidd bei Asos im Sale so günstig zu haben waren und ich mit dem Glitterati in Premiere (taupe) so happy war, durften die Geschwister in Debut (Silber) und Paparazzi (Gold) auch noch mit. Der Glitterati in Taupe gefällt mir immer noch am Besten, jedoch dicht gefolgt vom Goldenen. Bei dem Glitterati in gold finde ich es toll, dass die Goldtöne sich etwas unterscheiden. Das vermisse ich etwas bei der silbernen Variante. Wobei man auch hier nicht an der Qualität des Produkts selber meckern kann.

I liked the Glitterati in Premiere (taupe) from Jemma Kidd so much that I had to get the other two while they were still on sale at asos. So here are Debut (silver) and Paparazzi (gold). I still love the taupe one the most but very closely followed by the gold one. I love that the cream eyeshadow and the loose eyeshadow are a different shade of gold. Too bad that's not the case with the silver Glitterati. But oh well, it is still an amazing quality :)

Perfect summer pink! Michael Todd Pink Lady Lipstick

Mein momentaner Favorit in Sachen Lippenstift ist der Pink Lady von Michael Todd. Bei Pink Lady denke ich eher an ein klassisches Pink, aber der Lippenstift ist die perfekte Mischung aus Pink und Peach, was meine absolute Lieblingsfarbe für den Sommer ist. Der Lippenstift enthält keine Schimmerpartikel und ist beim auftragen eher fest, auf den Lippen dann aber ausreichend cremig. Der Lippenstift betont jedoch solo getragen trockene Lippen, also peele ich meine Lippen ganz gerne vor dem auftragen bzw. vermeide ihn bei trockenen Lippen. Ich denke, dass es an der Festigkeit des Lippenstifts liegt, dass er verhältnismäßig lange hält. Als ich ihn das erste mal gesehen habe, dachte ich das sei ein Scherz. Der Lippenstift ist wirklich ziemlich klein. Aber er enthält tatsächlich sogar mehr Inhalt als ein MAC Lippenstift. MAC enthält nur 3g Michael Todd 4g. Dann finde ich die kleine Verpackung sogar ganz praktisch, da platzsparend in der Handtasche. :)

Michael Todd in Pink Lady is my go to lipstick for summer. It is the perfect combination of peach and pink. The lipstick has a cream finish. When you apply it the texture is rather hard, but it gets creamy once it is on your lips. I believe it is the texture that also makes it last pretty well. BUt I would not recommand it if you have chapped lips because it does emphasize dry lips. Thus I sometimes like to peel my lips before I apply it. When I first saw the lipstick I thought it was a bad joke. It is tiny! But it actually is 4g which is more than a MAC lipstick which only contains 3g. This way I don't mind the small packaging. It is pretty handy because it does not take that much room in your makeup bag.

Die Farbe erinnert mich irgendwie ein bisschen an den neon peachigen Nagellack, den ich hier mal vorgestellt hatte. Nur nicht ganz so krass, neon. Aber es ist auch eine von den Farben, die einen tendenziell gebräunter bzw. erholter aussehen lässt, als man es eigentlich ist ;)

This lipstick kind of reminds me of the neon peach nail polish I showed you here. Just a little less neon. But it is the kind of color that makes you look more tan and more aware than you actually are ;)

Kosmetik Kosmo Order

Bei Kosmetik Kosmo kann man noch bis Ende des Monats versandkostenfrei bestellen :) Schon sein längerem wollte ich mal ein paar der Produkte aus der eigenen Produktlinie testen, also habe ich die Gelegenheit genutzt und mir den Nagellack in Silberbaum und den Lipgloss in Patricia bestellt. Gratis dazu gab es ein Nagelrad, worüber ich mich sehr gefreut habe, denn es ist tatsächlich mein erstes Nagelrad :)

They have a ot of fun products and they also started to sell their own make-up. I have been wanting to try their own brand for a while so I was happy to save the shipping. I got a lipgloss in Patricia and a nail polish called Silberbaum. I also got a free nail wheel which I was very happy about because I actually never owned one ;)

Lipgloss:

Aber zunächst zum Lipgloss. Die Textur ist super angenehm. Der Lipgloss klebt nicht ist aber auch nicht zu flüssig. Ich habe mich außerdem über die Deckkraft gefreut. Die meisten hellen Lipglosse decken eher schlecht als recht. Das war hier zum Glück nicht der Fall. Der Lipgloss riecht nach Karamel. Ich persönlich bin kein so großer Fan von Karamel, kann aber mit dem Duft leben. Für Karamelfans sicher toll, da der Duft auch nicht so künstlich ist. Ein wenig seltsam fand ich jedoch die ganz kleinen braunen / schwarzen Pünktchen im Lipgloss, die ihr beim vergrößern ganz gut erkennen könnt. Ist jetzt nichts wirklich schlimmes und auf den Lippen fällt es quasi nicht auf, aber etwas komisch ist es schon. Erinnert mich etwas an Bourbon Vanille ;)

The lipgloss has a great texture. It is not sticky and not to liquid. I also like that it is pretty pigmented compared to most light pink lipglosses I own. It smells like caramel. I am not a huge fan of caramel but for those who like it that would probably be a plus. I can handle it so it's not that bad. The only somewhat weird thing is that there are tiny dark spots in the lipgloss. You can't really see them once the lipgloss is applied but it is weird nevertheless. If you click the picture you can see them pretty well.

Nagellack:

Der Silberbaum Nagellack gefällt mir gut. Ich habe ihn gleich auf dem Nagelrad getestet ;) Ich hätte mir ihn ein bisschen deckender gewünscht, die erste Schicht war doch recht sheer, aber vielleicht liegt das auch am Nagelrad, ich kenn mich da ja noch nicht so gut aus.. Die Farbe ist toll, genau mein Ding. Ein schön schimmernder, kühler Taupeton.

Der Farbton hat mich gleich an Essie Chinchilly erinnert. Der Versuch aus Essie Chinchilly als Basecoat und dem (ehemaligen) P2 Stormy als Topcoat Silberbaum zu zaubern, hat jedoch nicht wirklich geklappt. Umso besser, dass spricht für seine Einmaligkeit ;) Chinchilly ist schon die richtige Ausgangsfarbe nur ist Stormy zu hell und der Schimmer geht in die falsche Richtung.

I really like the color of this polish it is a pretty coold toned taupe color. I already swatched it on the nail wheel. The first coat was a little sheer but the second made it look good.

The color reminded me of Essie Chinchilly. I tried to dupe it with Essie Chinchilly as a base coat and a discontinued P2 polish in Stormy on top. But even though Chinchilly seemed to be the right base coat Stormy is too light and the shimmer is a little different. So it seems like I don't have a color like Silberbaum :)

Essie Barefoot & Topless

Nach langem Anschmachten durfte der von Youtubern, wie Bloggern gehypte Barefoot & Topless während der Asos Sale Aktion bei mir einziehen. Ich wusste schon vorher, dass er leicht problematisch im Auftrag ist, aber daher war es zumindest keine große Überraschung mehr ;) Die Farbe ist toll, ein Nude, das nicht zu pink und nicht zu beige ist. Die erste Schicht ist eine Katastrophe, da super streifig. Aber bei der zweiten sah das schon besser aus. Bei Essie Lacken ist es mir schon ein paar Mal untergekommen, dass die Lacke anfangs sehr streifig waren, wobei das (dachte ich bisher jedenfalls immer) bei den neueren Lacken weniger der Fall war. Aber was soll's die Farbe ist toll und da es nach der zweiten Schicht mit ein bisschen Mühe ganz ordentlich aussieht, nehme ich das hin ;) Wobei ich es tendenziell schon schade finde, dass helle Farben oft im Auftrag recht schwierig sind.

After I have been thinking about getting this polish for a while I finally got it when it was on sale at Asos. A lot of Youtubers and Bloggers have shared their love towards this polish and so will I ;) I already knew it was kind of hard to apply because it is streaky. But this way it was at least not a surprise. The first coat was really really streaky but the second one was fine. It is not the first Essie polish I have had this problem with but I had the feeling the newer polishes were not streaky at all. Like Sew Psyched etc. Well I love the color because the nude is neither too beide nor too pinky thus I can live with the first coat being streaky ;)

Die tollen Lederballerinas von Marc O`Polo habe ich bei Breuninger erstanden. Ich bin schon seit längerem auf der Suche nach einem klassischen Paar Lederballerinas, das mal länger als einen Sommer überlebt. Die Schuhe sind auch innen aus Leder und super bequem :)

Statt 100€ habe ich inkl. Porto "nur" 45€ gezahlt. Sie waren eigentlich auf 50€ reduziert, aber dank einem Breuninger-Card Gutschein habe ich nochmal 8€ gespart. :)

My bargain of the month! I had been looking for leather flats that last more than one summer for a while. I finally found them :) These are really simple and universal and extremly comfy. They were reduced from 100€ to 50€ and I still had a coupon so I only paid about 45€ including the shipping. :)
